That was my thought as well. Why not just use a screw plate instead? It'll hold it in and protect it at the same time.what's cracking me up is why the staple was even attempted for the wire that was notched into the cavity![]()
That would have been another trip to the HDW store, and he had to be on the boat ramp in 30 min. That was my thought as well. Why not just use a screw plate instead? It'll hold it in and protect it at the same time.

I'm amazed my roof never caved in on me. Some of my studs just crumbled in my handsWorked Saturday on my pier and finished all I'm going to do to it until January (when I'm having a company come out and set 4 new pilings).

New to me deck with free 2x10's. I used 3-1/2" 316 stainless torx screws to hold them down.

I built this temporary platform to get around to the other side of the pier until January.

Worked all day Sunday and I put up another temporary wall and took out two walls of the garage room (that wasn't air conditioned, like wtf?) so now my garage will be much larger and open. I'll get the new beam up this next weekend.

I replaced this 4' section of termite damaged studs and double header. I can't believe it was still supporting weight. There was nothing left internally.

Yep. Morons cut the siding so they could sneak the rat slab right up to it for the pos porch. Sillplate was literally exposed to strait dirt for lord knows how long. Then add on 2' - 4' snow drifts.Dang dude, that's bad.
Yeah I feel your pain, I have 4 daughtersI pulled the stopper on my wife sink today because it wasn't draining.
That was pretty.
I actually couldn't get it free using a "hair snake" as it wasn't full of hair. I'm not sure what those clumps were, but they weren't solid for the most part. Not wanting to go back to the store, I poured some baking soda and vinegar straight down the drain. Worked unbelievably well. Did that 3 or 4 times and it's flowing like new again.

I ordered a magnetic drain plug, magnetic oil dipstick, and a cover for the generator over the weekend. Since the engine doesn't have a filter I read there can be quite a few metal shavings that appear during the break in period. Can't hurt to get them outta the sump.
I need to get a generator before this winter's snowmageddon happens.
yeah I heard this winter was supposed to be worse than normal, but then again I've heard that before. Rather be safe than sorry though, I only had a smaller 3500W 110V generator up until now. I guess I wouldn't "need" 220 as long as I could hook generator up to the best leg on the breaker box to get me critical loads back. But having a well, the 220 will be nice so I can take a shit or shower with the power out.
The most efficient heat from a generator with a minimal power load, are electric blankets, do not use an electric heater on a generator, it pulls too much power.
