the little heater I have is only 1500W. Manual from HF states not to exceed 75% of the rating (7600W), so I think I'll be ok it's around 20% of the rated running kW. It's raining out there today so I have the garage door cracked with the exhaust facing out.

Yeah that's pretty small, it would be hard for that heater to keep up any warmth in a bedroom. On generators that are 15K and under, If your running other appliances etc fridge, freezer and lights etc, the electric blankets will be the survival tool FTW, they pull very little power and provides the most efficient heat.

Yeah I have an electric blanket in my bedroom, when I turn that fucker on there's no need to get out from under the covers if that stupid nest goes into ECO mode lol

My heater is natural gas, so the only thing I'd need to keep my place heated is just the 120V inducer and blower motor. The biggest draw mine would have is probably the AC condenser but I'm not sure I'd even run that if I were in a power outage and risk overloading the generator. I am curious how many starting amps it draws and running since I put the hard start cap on this summer. Maybe next year I'll do a test and hook up my clamp on just to see out of curiousity.

I did a test today, the HF unit runs everything I need in the house including AC compressor. I just have to be mindful on the 220V loads (not start well and AC at the same time). The limit was my 7.5 HP motor on the air compressor in my shop, it tripped the generator outlet breaker. Guess I'll just have to limit my fabrication during a power outage lol

Your compressor has a huge motor on it! Mine is 3.2 and its does everything I want. 7.5 is paint and body shop shit. lol

Yeah I was happy with the results. I'm 12 hours into the 30 hour break in. I ordered some watt meters to install on my breaker panel so I can monitor each leg as I load up the machine to ensure it's balanced. Be interesting to see how many amps the house normally draws sitting "idle" and then starting up various items to see what they draw.

I got the 80 gallon kobalt from my dad for free. He had it for years but never really used it. I don't think Lowes even makes that model anymore it was the largest one at the time. I think it's rated for 17 CFM @90 PSI. More air than I'll ever need that's for sure.

I'm tired...

My son's eagle project got pushed forward, a lot faster than I liked! A Gate keeper for signature is going on vacation on the 17th, we had plan on doing this through out the week of Thanksgiving.
About 120 man hours since last Wednesday, I hope y'all can appreciate how much effort and time this project was in a short amount of time. Thankfully we had a couple extra volunteers show yesterday to help with more painting, assembly and digging.

4 benches rebuilt, sanded and painted.
5 New picnic tables built, 2 smallest ones were kits, and painted. 36ft stepping stone path to the day care(non profit ran through our church) vans.

I have volunteered for a few Eagle Projects for friends. It is impressive the work that can go into them. Great to see another project make it all the way through.

Yes sir it is, thanks, and I'm glad it's done.

So today I dropped off his Eagle Rank application off today, fingers crossed I get it back Wednesday or before then and the next Eagle board meeting is Monday 11/22.

Yep, I have a Samsung microwave and that thing is an absolute POS.

My refrigeration tech at work recommends any brand that isn't Samsung, LG or owned by GE. He likes Kitchenaid and Sub Zero appliances.

I have a Samsung fridge that works but has hinge issues. Because the fridge does work they will not warranty it. They told me the hinge grinding itself apart and the door not always closing properly is a cosmetic issue. The cosmetic warranty is an extra warranty that has to be purchased from Home Depot.

I was looking at Frigdaire brand, I'll never buy an overpriced fridge again, I used buy nothing but the $600 ones and they last forever, pretty sure 100% China made, lol

The ice maker on this fridge never worked 100% from day one, and I've cussed the fridge ever since.
