I'm going to fill it in once I get the yard regraded to where it doesn't flood the house after a heavy rain.

There used to be a pool that the previous owner had filled in. They didn't grade the yard properly so it slopes back towards the house.

Might have been installed also because of high tides from strom events, or possibly to prevent sheet flooding?

It was probably installed bc the last owners were gullible idiots when it came to home repairs. They got talked into installing this gutter rather than fixing the root cause of the issue.

Been fighting with push mower issues and finally gave up. I borrowed my father-in-law's John Deere zero turn to get the hard caught up. I kind of wish I had not now. I was able to mow the entire acre in about an hour; something that the push mower took me 3 to 4 hours to do. It is nice to be done mowing an not completely worn out.

So now I am debating how long I want to hold off buying a zero turn. Maybe I can make it through the summer to take advantage of fall deals with better financing.

Yeah you will pay out the ass right now. I'm going to upgrade to a bigger one beneath summer. I have a 48" now, but I keep making my yard bigger every year so it's taking me an hour to mow now

Been fighting with push mower issues and finally gave up. I borrowed my father-in-law's John Deere zero turn to get the hard caught up. I kind of wish I had not now. I was able to mow the entire acre in about an hour; something that the push mower took me 3 to 4 hours to do. It is nice to be done mowing an not completely worn out.

So now I am debating how long I want to hold off buying a zero turn. Maybe I can make it through the summer to take advantage of fall deals with better financing.

If you're still planning on selling your house, I'd hold off on getting one.

Oh damn, I haven't updated this in awhile...

I got the deck back on. I still have a lot of work to do to the deck but it's on the back burner for now.

Master bedroom window is in and oriented correctly this time

Finally finished the bay side siding. So one out of four sides is completely finished!

My nephew and I got this side of the house tore out.

Got it sheathed and taped.

Upstairs siding and foam insulation got tore out.

Got it sheathed, taped and tyvek'd.

And we started installing the siding on it.

It's taking a little longer than I planned because I keep having to repair termite damage. At this point, I'm pretty sure that termites made it all around the house as I've had to rebuild every corner of the house house so far. And the crazy thing is...on the inside, you can't see any of the termite damage, it's only when you take off the siding and foam board that you can see how bad it was.

If you're still planning on selling your house, I'd hold off on getting one.

Next house will have at least an acre or two of property. I am not escaping mowing anytime soon.

I agree. I didn't realize until this weekend that the termites made it all the way around the house. I thought it was just the bayside of the house.

Called a few places today; apparently mowers are a hot commodity right now. I should have a new John Deere Z720e mower getting delivered next week. They have a finance deal right now at 0.9% for 36 or 60 months. I went for 36 months and will most likely pay it off with my bonus next year. At least this year I will get all those hours back instead of waiting for the mid sized mowers to come back in stock. The 700 series is a bit more than I planned to get but the commercial drive train and 500 hours/ 4 year warranty is a nice piece of mind.

And here I was thinking about selling my Gravely 52HD ZT and just keeping my smaller one 42in for the farm. I use a 21" electric self propelled one for a tiny yard at the new house, it takes about 35min to mow and weed trim.

Put in an offer on a house yesterday. Don’t think our odds are very good but we offered what we could money wise and tacked on an extra week to their requested leaseback so maybe that will help. If not, it won’t hurt my feelings. I’d rather have a house with a pool anyway.

If you are going to sell one now is the time. The new equipment market is pretty thin and the used market prices are a bit inflated due to that.
