Renter called me at 9:30PM last night to tell me the AC wasn't working (I was literally crawling into bed to go to sleep). Apparently it hadn't been working for awhile as well...

So thankfully it was just the capacitor and I had a spare in my garage (they had the same trane unit my house has) and it fired back up. The cap was only 6-7 years old.

I went ahead and ordered a couple of spare caps to have on hand. I'm also going to pickup a couple of small, cheap 110V window units to have as a backup in case something else happens.

Was heading home with it. I hit the yard with it and spent some time getting the adjustments figured out. Overall it is pretty nice; wish I had done this years ago. But I cannot complain with 500 hours of warranty and 0.9% interest. Plus I get hours and hours of time back on the weekends.

Heats not as terrible as I thought it would be. I'm fighting another strain of daycare disease so I'm taking it easy and supervising today bc I'm really weak.
House is coming along nicely.

Getting the windstorm anchors and straps, hangers on the downstairs. These Titen HD bolts are legit! Really easy to install.

I took Friday off work to get a head start on the demo. We got a lot done thankfully which saved some time over the weekend.
Fuckers covered up a ton of wood rot.

I ended up rebuilding every corner of the garage and walls down here (that wood rot got cut out and replaced later when the siding came off, I just didn't take a pic of it).

I demoed all of the existing brick off the house. You could push it back and forth by hand since the brick-to-wood ties had all rusted out. Framed up this wall to give additional support to the second story floor joists and to act as a larger cavity to hold more insulation.

Saturday we got all of the siding and foam board demoed out.

Framed out the two new small window openings and then started sheathing the house.

And this is where we finished for the day. It's really fucking hot and it was killing productivity.

On Sunday, came to the house to an absolutely beautiful sunrise (camera didn't capture all of the colors that we could see).

And we finished sheathing the house, taped the sheathing joints (not necessary but it helps keep water and air intrusions out), tyveking the house, re-installed the windows and then started installing the siding. This was the only pic I got because we were so busy. I also borrowed two 12'x12' EZ-Up tents and a large party fan from my brother which really helped with the heat.

So pray for me that an inspector doesn't drive by this week so I can finish siding the house this weekend lol

Didn't have my crew this weekend but thankfully @thekidcatcher came down and helped me out! We got a lot done despite the heat.
We finished siding up the front and sides of the house. We installed the two little windows on the right (it's surprising how much of a difference those little windows make the inside of the house). We could only side up to the soffets as those still need to be installed.

My zero turn mulch attachment kit arrived at the dealer today. Hopefully I can have it on the mower before this weekend. At the rate I am going I may end up needing to give a shit about the lawn soon.

I'm already there. Only grass growing is where it's catching run off from my rose bushes and planters.
