So you're saying there's a chance!
That's awesome. You'll have to post pics once they are installed and completed.

That's cool. Had we stayed in our condo many years ago the next upgrade was going to be DIY concrete countertops.

Nice drew! Hope you used a lightweight low strength mix! Or reinforced the cabinets to handle the weight.

Lots of yard work in preparation for sod. The dirt area was a big flower bed of Asian Jasmine. I sprayed the Jasmine every few days for a month to kill it. Still didn't completely kill it. Mowed over it and mulched it up.
Yesterday I took a tiller to it and kept having to clear roots and vines from the tiller blades. 8 trash bags worth of vines and roots. Today I rented a stump grinder and ground down 2 stumps from trees I cut down last year. Leveled the dirt enough to lay sod, blew off the roof, mowed and edged. Lost 5 pounds in 2 days doing it all.

Sod will get delivered this week so I can lay it down next week.

That's gonna look good. Even just the dirt looks better than that Jasmine did.

At least you are working in the shade! That should look real nice with grass in there.

Shade was the only way I was able to stay out there for most of the day. Not looking forward to grass. May hire this guy my friend knows but we will see next week.

I get to pay for labor on repairing my water heater. One of them took a shit. I can do it myself and buy the part ($250) or I can use the warranty and pay for labor ($100). No option to give me the part and me do the labor. Yeah me. At least the guy came out the same day and he can knock it out quick.

What was wrong? Did the heater coils burn out already? Make sure you are draining your water heaters once a year.

It was a Honeywell gas control valve. What sucks is that my system connects both water heaters together (thats good) so he had to turn off the pilot light on the "good" one for some reason and when he went to relight it... it too a bit! Not like it probably should have. It was too the point were he was about to have to reschedule another service call to replace it. So.. I would not doubt a second gas control valve replacement in my future.

Also, I have a whole home water filter.. so sediment is at a minimum. But the guy said not to drain it.. but to flush it. Same principle you just let it fill up as you drain it. The fill line will actually 'disturb' the sediment and help flush it out. Or so he said. Sounded good. LOL

Right you can do that as well. Just hook a garden hose and fish it outside to drain it.

Considering I have had the same water heater since I built this house 8 years ago I guess I should probably flush the thing at some point. How many beers should it take?

Depends on the size... 30 gallon= 2 beers
40 gallon= 3 beers
50 gallon = 4 beers
