A few years ago, before the pool, we had a torrential downpour and it washed a baby bunny towards the house. I found it, spent money on a feeder and food for it. I really liked that little guy. Sadly he passed away, we buried him near the pergola. I have nothing against them. Somewhere I have some good photos of us with it. My little one was sad when it passed. But its life.

Somewhere I have a photo of the little one over the grave.. pretty cute.

But here is the little guy before he passed.

I had similar story, I ran over a nest last year with my mower. Killed the mom, and one of the babies. The other ones survived. I took them from the nest and raised them for a few weeks, gave them to my uncle who used them for training his brittany spaniels they were super tiny.

I did not question, I corrected it. It’d been along time since I took the test but it’s right here on the state webpage, my memory might be shit these days but certain numbers stick with me.
https://www.nj.gov/dep/fgw/pdf/safetyzone.pdf

Where did you get that? It says 450 feet for firearm hunting and 150 feet for bow hunting.

Target shooting is a whole different ball game and not addressed in the pdf.

Worse off is we have no state standard. It's all town by town & city by city so what I have in the burbs is going to be different then you in a more rural community I would assume.

So nice to open the front door and let it rip if I feel the urge lol

Thats the plan

I like those little bolt action ones, I use to have one like that when I was a kid and I ended up giving it to my good friend's kid. I don't mind the rabbits, in fact I like keeping them around the house. Cutting the grass last friday, I walked over to the corner of my yard and this little guy was hopping around, can't be more than a few weeks old. Luckily the nest was very close to the fence so I didn't harm them.

My moms trapped more than a few in the past two years - Ill ask her whats she is using for bait.

yeah I'm looking to do a raised garden bed for next year, I'm hoping I keep the same opinion about the rabbits and they stay out from eating my vegetables haha

I thought about a raised bed, but my 4' tall fence with the t posts wasn't all that pricey and I'm lazy. Think less than $200 for the fence and less than $100 for the gate + about 2 half days worth of labor. Still need to set my gate posts once I find some. Was going t use old 4x4's but I want this to last just incase I stay here

Well to yours and my point I think you just proved it, there is no "law" for discharging firearms on your own property, although some towns have their own laws which may take into account a no-discharge ordinance, lead containment/EPA restrictions, or noise restrictions. Check eCode360® Library: The Best Online CodeExperience - General Code. Regardless if you are allowed to shoot on your property or not, I always use the 450ft as a guideline, worst case scenario, my hunting license is always current so if someone tries to bust my balls I tell them I'm hunting on my property lol .

I checked my township, no mention of it other than:

A.
No person shall carry or discharge any weapon or firearms within or into a Township park or recreation area.

B.
No person shall molest, trap, capture, hold, remove, injure or kill any animal or disturb its habitat within a Township park or recreation area.

When I checked your area, you might be out of luck:

cc.
Discharge, fire or cause to be fired or discharged any pistol, rifle, shotgun or firearm of any kind within the limits of the borough, unless a permit for such shall have been obtained from the police department.

Thanks for the info on the bait, I've been using vegetable scraps and so far they haven't taken to them, so far they haven't disturbed by digging into my pole barn but it's just a matter of time before they get under there unless I treat them with some hot lead. As for the garden, whatever's cheap and keeps the animals out will work great, and using the fence you won't have to worry about any wood rotting. My dad's raised garden bed is infested with carpenter bees and I'm surprised it's still standing lol

We are spending some $$ on the house t
Got a crew in today doing the built-ins for the master bedroom closet, so far so good. Also having an electrician on his way over to give us a quote for 5 can lights in the living room (4 on one switch and the 5th on another switch) and adding a outdoor electrical box in the eves with a switch inside. Finally had a guy come out this morning and give us a quote on adding rock rings around the trees and areas with mulch in the front yard. Time to spend some $$ on the crib.

Closet organizer is done... Mehh... I could have done a better job. I should have just done it but the wife was bitching about how she wanted it... (her idea was not feasible) so I had the contractor come out and tell her the same thing I told her. Then she believed me. Fuck it.. its done. Electrician is coming out tomorrow (fuck if I want to spend all day in the attic.. money well spent). Guy who gave us the quote on the stone rings around the trees and shrubs is a bit high. Plus her's booked until August. So I'll get another quote or two.

lol permit to use my permitted firearms.... f*cking f*cks in gubment. I know they are trying to close down my local Trap field. Some developer put up condo's across the street so now all the snowflakes call and complain about the noise. When I hear it I chuckle and it reminds me I need to buy a shotgun and join them. Ive always enjoyed trap and skeet shooting even though Ive only done it a couple times each

Here ya go for the bees. I wrapped my 4x4's in cedar cause they like it more and it's pretty

Ordered a couple 6'x2' Fleximount shelves for the front wall of the garage. Need to get this thing organized and get everything off the floor. Also need to hang the WallControl panels I've had sitting in a closet for a year and a half as well as the storage bins I've had in the box since Christmas. Shelves wont be here until the end of next week but maybe I'll get the rest of it knocked out this weekend between the other shit on my list. Still need to get up in the attic and finish running the electrical for the wall mounted fan as well.

Shelves showed up yesterday. They're very nice which I was hoping for for $175 for 12' of wire shelving. But they're 2 foot deep, come with 5/16" lag screws for mounting and a cardboard template with a level for marking holes. The wall brackets are 1/8" thick and extremely sturdy. Each 6' section is rated for 200 lbs so that will be nice. My dad's coming by on Sunday to help me install them. Happy Father's Day to him, right?

Well my ducks arrived. No chicks yet, apparently they didn't have a good hatching. They are supposed to ship end of July now.

Got the frame for the garage work bench finished up this morning. Didnt turn out too bad for not really trying and being too lazy to go to my dads house to pick up the squares. Just need to get the two piece of MDF cut and she'll be ready to rock. I got off on my measurements by 1/2" somewhere (think I miscalculated for the height of the casters) so it's a little taller than I originally wanted but it should be pretty simple to remedy later if I need to drop it down some. Ended up at 35.5" with out the MDF and the work surface will be 26"x72". The biggest I could fit in the area I have for it.

anyone looking to upgrade their peephole in their door so they don't get shot in the face? lol

one of our PM's had this leftover from a job so he gave it to me ~ He knows I like to collect BR products

upload_2020-6-23_8-36-48.png

no idea what Ill do with it, but I can think of a few things it could be useful for

typically protects the speak hole but this bank didn't want it so they paid for a BR system that allows anyone to put a gun into the hole thats in front of the teller.

Knocked out another few projects around my house and my moms so I cleaned up my garage again. Got a couple hours work done last night while it was 10° cooler in my garage.

My garage needs help.. I need to spend some time cleaning it up. The kid is heading to grandma and grandpas for 2 weeks on Friday. Might try to get that done before she gets back. As long as the humidity calms its tits down.

You need to suck it up and get A/C in the garage already lol I would've put a unit in mine already if this was my forever home.
