Guess its about time to start replacing appliances. Washing machine crapped out over the weekend. Motor won't turn the drum anymore. Picked up a new one from Lowes yesterday and put it in.
Tonight go to set the dishwasher and every light is rapidly blinking. Google it and says to call for service. Nope, its 10 years old. Replacing it. Found a Bosch I like so thats probably going to win.

You sound like me last year, fridge then drier lol
I ended up just buying a cheap fridge, but a nice Samsung set of washer/drier.

If you got 10 years out of the dishwasher you did good. I have had to replace my dishwasher twice in 13 years. The first one was not bad but the second one was crap. I spent the extra for the better model and upgraded sound proofing on the last one. So far it has been great and worth the extra $100.

Mines 31 and still going, though she does bitch from time to time about doing dishes lol

But seriously, mine is 20 years old with zero issues, but it also doesn't get used much other then a drying rack for hand washed.

My current dishwasher made it 13 years. Found the owners manual.
Looking at a Bosch unit that has one of the lower decibel ratings in this price range of $500.

Well everything has arrived. Got new mounts, heavy duty mounting hardware, mounts to attach the soundbar to the TV on the patio. All ready to go. Hired a "professional" to come out Friday and do the installs. I will assist as needed and watch. Pretty stoked!

they getting heavier or lighter with the new tech?

Back in 09' when I got my 52" Sony I called a buddy to help me. as he showed up it was being wheeled out. He grabbed it with two hands, put it in my bed, called me a pussy and now it's a inside joke. I assumed the new flat screens weighed as much as the old ass glass tube TV's cause thats all I had owned to that point. I figured there was no way I could pick up a 52". Turns out I was completely wrong lol

I was amazed at how lite the new tech was.

Even if they are lite - I'd not mess around with mounting a 82" by myself... my 52" was a pita even with a super easy mounting system.

Its not super heavy, but it's still right at 100lbs. The size just makes it too unwieldy to do by yourself. So I could have got a neighbor to assist, but I figured for $200 it was pretty good insurance that I didn't drop one. <knock on wood!> And that $200 is for 4 TV's, 2 82's and 2 70's.

yea, thats not bad at all.

My mom spent 2k on gutters/soffits/fascias/downspouts/etc. Monday so I stopped over today on my way back from dropping off all my "rented" equipment from Comcast to see how they were doing in the rain. Old gutters were never sufficient for the house so I upped the size and increased the downspouts by double. Stop by mid downpour and find every gutter leaking at the end caps....:BangHead:

Whats it take.... 30 seconds to run a bead of caulk on 2 end caps before install? And of course they are on the second story.....

Guy was supposed to call me Monday with a price to fix some other stuff the estimator missed after they were done. Never got a call. I was also talking to him about doing my gutters and I have 2x the amount of my mom...... Pretty sure Ill look elsewhere now. They also showed up at 11am Monday.... supposed to be 8am. As you know from my G stove talks I'm pretty patient... but I have none for spotty work. I'm amazed they did a good job on 99% then fail at the 1% thats going to create issues and is easily seen.

The 75" Samsung I just got in for work had a broken screen which wasn't visible until you turned it on. So we have a warranty replacement on order.

This is random bc usually it's the LG's that are broken out of the box. This is the first Samsung I've ordered that's been broken. With the LG's, it's like 1 out of 3 is broken in the box.

Well mine are still in the box, tomorrow is the day they get installed. But I did see that Costco dropped the price on the one I got from them another $480.. so I applied for the price credit.

Sorry I forgot to add "Awesome!" to my post above. Instead I went on a random tangent lol. I've been drinking with my bro-in-law lol

i took apart a buddies 85” when it wasn’t working and was amazed to find it’s basically one or two circuit boards and the rest is just the screen which is most of the weight. The screen connects with these tiny ass little ribbon cables, that would sometimes come loose and cause part of the screen to be failed, easy fix to reseat the cable. I was also surprised the back of the case was held together with cheap plastic clips instead of screws, it was like removing a dashboard from a Hyundai lol

try these guys, know a few people that used him and had good reviews. Plus he’s local small business so you’re not getting raked over the coals by some corporate chooch. Jeremy Spinelli is the owner and he does most of the work himself.

TV's are all mounted and setup. What a PITA. I helped the dude install them and so thankful he knew his shit. Only TV I am really not happy with, and its my fault, is the 70 Sony in the garage. I thought the mount I had would handle it... it wouldn't. So I have a flat mount and I miss the ability to move the TV around and aim it where I am at. But the TV on the patio is fucking awesome, never thought I would like one out there but it is great. The media room, while I was fucking with the TV I also got my subs situation fixed (had one not really working) and now it is. It's amazingly loud. Neighbors where out on the their front drive tonight, a good 250' from the media room (the media room is at the back of my house) and they could hear it when I was testing it out. :) Kids TV turned out great and she is happy. Living room TV looks "normal" until someone walks up to it and you realize that everything is just giant. I'm stoked. Now to just dispose of all the boxes and styrofoam. That is going to the recycle center tomorrow. Oh and the cheap soundbar I got off Amazon for the patio sounds awesome... but the remote is broke! :( So I'll be getting that replaced. Also will look into a mount for the garage that can handle a heavy TV and still move around a bit.

Best buy had some that would hold up to 250# that pulled away from wall 24" and rotated side to side and you could set the tilt. I bought one for the 65 in my office a few months ago.

I got one for the patio and its similar. I just need to order one. I'm burned out from moving/hanging TV's though. LOL This morning I filled the bed with cardboard and took it to the recycle center. Now I just have enough styrofoam to build an igloo with I need to dispose of. Recycle center won't take it.
