So if we do ALL the fixes then we will get back another $10990 to offset the "depreciation" value. Which is nice.

Oh and its says its 86 degrees out but I don't believe it.. feels nice. Also have winds @ 15-25 mph.

46 panels done. 9 left & I just ran out of stain. that takes care of my S, W & N sides. Just got some of the new fence and my gates left on the E side. Raining tom morning so if everything dries out maybe be 100% done this weekend.

My shoulders would of appreciated if my day off monday wasn't paddling a kayak for 7hrs lol

Still don't like the color but it is what it is. Def harder to see in the yard at night cause it's so dark now.

Bet some of that costs is for height and pitch.
And just the size.. its a 5000 sq ft slab. Height and pitch may factor in... I know I don't want to get up there and give it a shot. Nope Nope Nope

My neighbors house is smaller, his total hail damage was $29k!

My parents have 5300sqft of roof (2600ish slab IIRC) and their roof was $14k back in like September.

I'm going to need a new roof but waiting until the fall to do it.

Well I wonder if roofing materials have skyrocketed like lumber and everything else? No idea on total sq footage of the roof, with all the pitches and elevation changes. Its tall for sure, 12' ceilings in living room and the roof is still another 17-18' above that at its peak. For a one story I won't get up there.

Roof sq footage is 6781 sq ft.
Edit.. got dyslexic for a moment. Not 6871.

Well hopefully that means good bonuses at work for me then. lol Our roofing plants have been running 24/7 and they are delaying all outages until this fall last I heard.

Crawled all around underneath the trailer trash house yesterday, fixing pipes. I have 2 more breaks to address today and I should be done. Praise Jesus for not running into any rattle snakes. The well water has a bit of Sulphur/Tar type smell, drained and flushed hot water heater, it was nice to take a shower last night and have running water to a commode.
After I fix the breaks today, going to flush the lines agains and install the whole house filter for sediment.

Replaced valve body and handle with the cheapest Moem set. I tied strings to the water lines so they wouldn't drop behind the wall, because they will drop behind the wall if you let go!!
Probably the most helpful tricks when replacing a shower valve body if flex lines are attached.

Ran out of buckets to store the little river rocks cleaning out my bed today. Decided to put them over the marble chips. I wish I never put down either because they get all over when I blow the beds out. So now the crappy little river rocks will hold in the horrible marble chips lol

Yeah my mom used have river rock beds around her house. I was so happy when she wanted to take them out as they are freaking scary when you run over them with a mower! lol Sounds like a gun shot at first

Busy day around my house, got a nice workout in. Trimmed up all the shrubs and then power washed the entire house. Nice to work from home to be able to squeeze these tasks in between my job lol

this side of the house doesn’t get much sun so it gets some of that “mold” crap growing on it after a year. The 8’ wand is a game changer, borrowed it from my dad. What used to be an acrobatic act is now just a few steps up a ladder to get to the peaks of the gable end. One benefit of living in a rancher lol. The ladders were not needed for the rest of the house, and even got a nice cleansing of the outside of the gutters. That wand probably cut my power washing time in half

Very nice!

Thanks, I do find power washing oddly satisfying while I'm doing it but always regret wanting to get out there for the day. Ended up sunburnt a bit, mud all over me, and hands/feet looking like prunes. But I'm glad to do it rather than pay someone else. The vinyl fence took longer than my house to power wash. It's about 110 ft of fencing that goes halfway to the back yard, double that to do the outside and inside.

It's that non critical thinking skills, just pressure washing away, stress relief, thinking about??? Well I forgot already... pressure washing away.

Looks much greener than it does around here.

That's the truth, natural therapy! We got alot of rain in March, and April hasn't been super hot and a fair amount of rain. My entire lawn is weeds so it looks half decent if I keep it cut short lol

It's def nice view, much better than most of my surrounding town which is just neighbors too damn close to your house lol Hopefully this stays as farm land as long as I'm here. Once in a while, thanksgiving dinner even comes around to eat some bugs :)
