I had one at our old house, had it for about 4 years before selling the house and it with it. It wasn't big, maybe 8x6 or so... smaller. But it was nice. No issues.

I see they now make wooden sheds, mine was the vinyl style with a plastic floor. -disregard that... Lowes filter was shit. Was not a Suncast that was wood.

Closed on the house today. Then got busy changing all the locks. Took way too long because I spent too much time looking for ways to undo the half-ass job the previous owners did on a lot of stuff. They’re as good as they can be until we start replacing doors. Picked up a new toy to help with the job since my old one is buried in the storage unit somewhere and I’ve been wanting one anyway. Also mowed the front yard for the first time. It was looking bad after a month of not being mowed. The backyard is a disaster and is a project for another day after we’re moved in.

This morning I installed the mulcher kit on my zero turn. While it was not overly difficult it was not a "2 hour job" like described. Maybe on the smaller models it is two hours but at least it is done. Now I need to make a few adjustments to get it mowing how I want with the new blades.

Finally upgrading from my 50” TV. New living room has us sitting almost 24’ from the TV since the TV has to go in one corner and the couch in the opposite corner. Ordered a 70” TV and articulating wall mount. Should be a much better fit than the previous one.

Took off work on Friday to go pick up the 3"x8" beams I needed to fix the left side of my pier. I got one 18'L, two 14'L and one 10'L beams. Thankfully I had my brother's 18' trailer to use to go get them as it would've sucked to get those with my little 10' trailer But I got rained out on Friday and it was really hot so I called it a day at 2PM.

On Sunday, I had a professional waterproofer that I use at work, come over and waterproof my house with Sika NP1. He got about 85% of the house finished. Pretty awesome to have him come out and do it since this house has had terrible water leaks since it was built.
On my piers boathouse, I put in a couple of 5" stainless timber screws on all of the 2"x12" to piling connections to reinforce it.
My nephew and I got the 18' beam in surprisingly easy and then we took off the old platform boards, installed a new 6' beam on the far side of the pier and then put the deck back on. I didn't take any pics during all of this unfortunately. I still need a piece of 2"x12" to fill in that open section and I need to get a contractor out to install three more pilings to help support the beam. All of the decking was wood I had taken off the house or had gotten for free.

My M12 impact after this job I think it's finally starting to go because I've been using it for everything.

speaking of TVs and articulating mounds, I ordered the TV for our patio. It's going to be at a 45* angle above the fireplace and facing the house. I really like the idea of an articulating mount, but I'm afraid wind will tear through there during a bad storm and pull the tv out from the wall like a sail. So I'm thinking a fixed mount is probably better. However, I like the idea of being able to move the TV depending on other factors (furniture placement, lighting, etc.)

I put an articulated mount for our patio tv, but its not exposed to direct winds. I have not had any issues with it. You could always make some anchors that tie the corners in place when you are not using it.

One thing about the articulating mount vs a non. In my garage I had a 60" on an articulating mount. Watched TV all the time on it. I upgraded to a 70" tv out there and its on a non-articulating mount. I rarely watch tv out there now. Seems that the position of the TV now is such where I just don't like it. That being said, on the patio its nice having it able to move. I can aim it towards the hottub and watch or point it straight across the patio at the love seat and chairs.

So the only ISP I could get at the new house was Spectrum (AT&T fiber is coming in the next few weeks so I may switch to that when it’s available) and they have a self-installation thing where you pick up your equipment and set it up yourself. I tried it and couldn’t get it to work so they sent out a tech. All the coax cables had been cut up in the attic at some point and there were several cables out near the electric meter that weren’t hooked to anything and had no indication of where they went or what they were for. So the tech ran new coax to one of the drops in my living room and we left the coax drops in the rest of the house unhooked as I have no need for them. So we have internet now. And it’s plenty fast. But the place we’ve been staying for the last 6 months had Spectrum and it had more downtime than uptime it seems like so we’ll see if I keep it or ditch it for fiber.

We had GVEC fiber at the old house and it was awesome, we also have Spectrum now at the new house and it sucks! I'm lucky to get close to 70mbps at 5pm till 11pm.

I wish we could get fiber. When I was in college I worked for a cable company and we would do disconnects, but people would just reconnect it. I would take the cable finder and a spade shovel and cut the cable under ground in several places. Fuck em. LOL

Waiting for my electric co-op to bring fiber this winter. They have services at a few people I know and they all love it. True 1Gb speeds at their home.

Parents came by tonight and I had my dad help me mount the TV while they were here. The articulating mount gives a much nicer viewing angle than before. Also ordered the new couch this morning and it will be delivered on the 26th. Tomorrow I have to work on the sprinklers and get some fertilizer down before I lose my nice green lawn.

Check into the cable hiding options on Amazon. I installed 3 in the house and they are nice.
