Those are good units. I have three in service here at my main shop.

I got two trailer & bed loads moved over this weekend. So that added up to a 1/4 of my shop stuff lol
It's just too hot to go into AC then back out into the heat a 100 times. Makes you dizzy after awhile.

So to stay out of the heat, I assembled a bunch more pre-fabbed/IKEA style cabinets for the downstairs "mud room" bench (it's not a true mud room). I'll install them to the wall tonight or tomorrow night.

Rested Saturday.
On Sunday I had enough energy to get a bunch of stuff knocked out.

Laundry room is done.

I wired in new motion sensors for the garage lights so I don't have to touch anything with dirty hands. I also want them to come on when we start parking the cars in the garage.

Got some coat hooks hung for cable management. I'll have more hooks below these (I just have to get them out of my other garage).

Got two of my metal upper cabinets hung. These are heavy SOB's.

My wife bought these cabinets from some place online and they are the biggest POS I've ever had to put together. They are so chinsey that they broke when I was assembling them. We bought them months ago so there's no returning them. I just folded them in half and threw outside for now. I don't even want to bother trying to fix them as its all just particle board.

Anyone have a good source for HVAC systems? Looking for a 4-ton heat pump system. Just need the system itself delivered.

Spend the extra money and get a variable speed AC unit with a highest seer rating you can afford. It will save money in the long run on the electric bills.

I'm not a fan of the heat pumps on older houses that have inadequate insulation.

Not going to pretend like I know the difference. Just going off of what was recommended by the guy who came out today and looked at my setup. Currently have a 3 ton indoor unit and a 2.5 ton outdoor unit and need a 4 ton.

Ikea cabinets are way better quality than those. My girls closet is ikea cabinets and they went together with no issues.

Call a couple of more contractors to get additional quotes.

One the temps drop a little I am going to replace all the gaskets on my garage doors. They are brittle and cracking after 15 years.

So there is a house being built on the lot next to my far property line. I have tried working with the builder and be understanding; but none of it has worked. They were still taking lunch in my tree line and acting like my property was a landfill leaving trash everywhere. Then they were using my empty lot for a turn around area and trailer parking.

That stops today. I managed to move the smaller rocks with a handtruck and sweat; the biggest three rocks I called my f-in-law for the tractor with bucket. I will laugh if I find paint on those rocks from their doors or bumpers. I also put a few rocks along the rest of my street property line down to the other corner to show the full stretch of property and not make it look like I am just targeting the one area.

Starting to swap out ceiling fans and light fixtures throughout the house. Swapped out the fan in the playroom/back bedroom and ordered a new fan and some recessed lights for the mancave as well as a new fixture for the entry way. Still trying to find a fan we like for the master bedroom. Putting off the one in the living room as it’s a vaulted ceiling and doesn’t look fun to change. Also debating between putting a 72” fan in there or adding a second 52”. Wife is still deciding if she wants to use recessed lighting in the living room or not.

I had to do the same thing with my yard when they were building two new houses across the street from me. They kept parking in my yard & rutting it up while leaving their construction and lunch trash everywhere. I had posts put in which stopped them parking on my yard and I started collecting all of their trash from my yard and leaving it inside their skid steer (on the seat, controls and sides of the seat). Any nails or screws I found went into the driveway they were using to park their trucks.

I hate residential construction. It's all the bottom of the barrel for the trades.

That is 100% exactly what I have been doing. I may have loosened the caps on all the drinks before tossing them into the skid steer. But glass bottles and everything else was tossed into the garage so it would not blow away.

Their manager is pissed at me but she already knows my feelings on her and the crews.

I installed some new Nest wifi cameras on Sunday. I got rid of the Arlo camera system (they are going to discontinue support soon, got tired of swapping out batteries and it'll free up WIFI bandwidth space since I won't have their base station broadcasting 2.4Ghz signals anymore). All in all, it was fairly easy to do. We got 2 two-packs of cameras since those were on sale.

Got some honeydos knocked out today.
Hose reel mounted on the deck.

And 100' hose mounted for the garden. I mounted it in the corner so it's hidden.

Well the contractors were back today. Nobody parked their trucks or cars anywhere near those big rocks. There is not enough room to park away from the rocks and not in the road so they had to park someplace else. Dang the luck. Also rumor is that she went up to the POA office to file a complaint about me being an asshole and wanted me fined for it.

Sadly the POA bylaws have no control over assholes otherwise I could not afford to live here.

Yesterday after work, I swapped out a bad 15A GCFI breaker with a standard breaker so now my freezer will stay on. I've had it plugged into an extension cord over at another outlet to keep it running because of this damn breaker. I won't ever be installing or recommending those GCFI breakers again as they are too sensitive to electrical changes and trip all the time (or in the middle of the night like this one).

I got a new dimmer switch wired in for the cove lights in the living room. Home depot sent me a couple of screwless snap cover plates for free (I didn't order them) so I put those on as well.

I put out these ant packs last night and they work really well! After a couple of mins, the ants had lines to go into them to get the poison and take it back to their pile to kill the nest.

I got the undercabinet lighting wired up & installed last night. I went with the Hafele lighting as it's the best under-cabinet lighting I've seen in person. There's no hot spots with these lights like the cheap lighting.
I put in this lighted lutron switch so you can see a little light when looking for the switch under the cabinet.

I still need to put on the little wire holders but they are at my other house right now.
