I was out pretty much most of the weekend and Monday with a bad sinus infection. But I got the "frame" installed around the TV. Makes the TV look like a picture frame now but for the price you pay for that magnetic frame I was expecting it to be better quality. The little clips if comes with to install at the corners are impossible to get into place and aren't needed with how well the magnets hold the frame to the TV.

Sunday afternoon, I felt ok enough at that time to go over to my MIL and install my old TV in her house for her.

I had another telephone pole wash up on shore but this time it had a sweet heavy duty galvanized ladder on it that I'll re-install on my pier to get out of the water. I got it cut up with the chainsaw and hauled out last night. Sucker was heavy.

I got my last guest room/my closet cabinet and shelves in. (These are not all of my clothes, I still need to move over my closet from my other house) we'll get the sliding glass doors next year. It's not a priority right now to spend money on it.

I got my Sonos Era 300 speakers mounted up on their stands.

Looks like we’re going to be getting a new roof soon. I’ve known we needed one for probably the last 6 months or so but had a couple leaks pop up recently in heavy rain so had a buddy of mine that owns a roofing company come by today and check it out. Leaks are from the rubber boot on the vent pipe above master bathroom and some rusted, fucked up flashing at the chimney. But he found enough hail damage to get a whole new roof. Insurance inspector will be here next week to cut the check and then we’ll get started.

Trimmed our massive fucking Crape Myrtle today. Been needing to do it for the last few months and figured I’d go ahead and do it so it wasn’t in the way of the roofing crew. Now wasting my afternoon putting up Christmas lights that I’m going to have to take down in a few weeks when the roof gets replaced and then listen to my wife bitch at me because I won’t put them back up.

I literally did the same to mine two days ago so I could hang Christmas lights as well. Mine is fucking massive, one of the biggest crape myrtles I've seen.

This one looks a lot smaller now that I trimmed up everything that was hanging down low by the roof. Before it looked terrible. I hate the thing but it’s the only tree we have in the front that isn’t dead and needing to be cut down. Going to try and get the two rotten oaks cut down this spring and get some new ones planted. If I can get some decent trees out in the yard, I’ll try to get rid of the crape myrtle as it’s in the way of a porch expansion I’d like to do at some point.

Same here. Wish I could get rid of mine for a nice oak tree but my wife will never let it get cut down.

What I started with this morning. This pic was taken after I had loaded a bunch of stuff up already.

I got some work done this past weekend on the house.

Got all of the christmas lights put away.
Drained the lake that forms over the old covered up pool in my yard (I'm planning on borrowing my neighbors mini ex, digging down and breaking out the bottom of the pool so it'll drain better). It took 6 hours and three M12 batteries to get the majority of the water out. My buddy gave me that HEEP, I would never buy my kids one lol

I got my speaker shelf and TV put up. The TV plays through my Google Max speaker so it sounds way better than it did before.

Got this hose reel installed.

And finally got these upper cabinets in. I had to cut out electrical outlets inside the cabinets, move the electrical outlet into the cabinet and then install the under-cabinet lighting. I also had to remove, modify and re-install the grass hinges because the cabinet carcasses are new and I just reused the old glass cabinet doors. I finally started putting away tools and materials last night where they are supposed to be in these upper cabinets. It's a surreal feeling because my life has been an organized mess for almost three years at this point.

Our 10 year old GE Cafe dishwasher took a shit. I really liked it so I got another. Picked up the 39 db one, basically the same as we had just newer. Price has gone up in 10 years, paid like $1400 back then. But it wasn't as bad as I thought it would be for the price. Sucky part is it isn't an exact match for the existing Cafe items already there.

damn, i guess I never checked DW prices over the last 5+ years...mine is around 8 year mark so I'm hoping it holds out for a bit longer. It doesn't get all that much use maybe gets ran once a week tops.

They had a few other models that had a MSRP of around $1300-1500 and were about $400 off! So yeah, I wanted one of those. But of course they are not in stock and I don't want to hand wash dishes nor listen to people complain about hand washing. LOL

Wind is pretty crazy here tonight. 30-35 with gusts in the 50-55 range. It's blowing from the west, and the back of my house faces that direction. It sounded like something hit the house so I walk out and see my shingles literally being ripped off my roof.

Damn dude. Good thing its not raining, it would send it right in. Happened to my neighbor across the street a few years ago. Was about an 80k insurance claim! But those winds are hitting down here as well, not that high but 20-30 with gusts to 40 mph range.

Going to check my roof out in the morning. Hopefully all is well since it was replaced less than a week ago. Would suck to see it’s damaged already.

Watching the local news now; there were +50 mph winds across the area last night. All the fun.
