I've read conflicting articles about hunting by the phase of the moon. Some say new moon and others say full moon. I tend to agree with the full moon notion.

I have never done very well with a Full moon, but as for the new moon goes, just as good as any other huntin day.

Anyways, I saw a really nice 10pt chasing a doe a few ranches down at 2pm and I had a nice 8pt show up for morning breakfast.

I'm heading back to the lease tomorrow. Now that I have a doe in the freezer, the pressure is off and I probably won't shoot anything unless he is bigger than what's already on my wall.

Complete bust this weekend. Only deer I saw wasn't even on the lease, but a six point on the main road. The battery on my 4-wheeler took a dump so I got to walk out of the woods twice. I about shit when I found out the replacement (which I needed to get the wheeler back out of the woods) was $110.

Yeah a guy I work with just replaced his battery in his 4x4 for the same cost
