Yeah it typically is but that's only for fog or low ceiling clouds which forces all the birds to fly lower. When it starts pouring out, they'll usually find someplace to hunker down for awhile. I just hate getting hit in the face with raindrops in an open boat cabin

I got one feeder set today at my sons location on the base, his location is closed for the next 3 weeks cause of some military training, which is about 1/4mile from him and over the next ridge, I was able to put 625lbs in that feeder, which is nice not having to lug corn every time the area does open, my area was closed today, so after church in the morning were headed back up to get the other one going and mount cameras.

I'm not saying I have a pellet gun since it and all my other guns were lost in a boat accident but if I did have one it would be great for taking down squirrels.

I went dove hunting on my buddy's lease near Abilene this past weekend. The lease is about 2000 acres and is a hunter's paradise. I saw deer, hogs, quail, dove, bobcats and ducks in the three days I was there.
This is what a .25-.06 will do to you. This rounds screams at ~4,000fps! My buddy's dad shoot this one offhand while the Coyote was hauling ass across a field.
Back of the horse trailer that's loaded with my buddy's 6x6 Polaris, trailer and a new deerstand.
The last day before we left we were zeroing in my scopes and shooting at long distance. I hit a 8"w x 12" steel plate at 400 yards consistently. We also shot my buddy's RPR 6.5 creedmoor out to 700 yards.
If you zoom in, you can see the white horse trailer in the middle of the pic. The black spec that's in front of it is our shooting position.

Got the blind put up in a few hours. It was the right mix of fun and danger driving this stand on a trailer behind the 6x6! We went up a rock ledge to get it up there. Fuck side x side's, that 6x6 is a freaking beast!!!
