Haven't heard any shots from the hog hunters, they been out all night.

Hunters got skunked, sea fog was pretty bad over the wknd from recent rains, and this is the 1st wknd in the past 4 or 5 weeks that I didn't shoot a hog off the porch, shoot dang. They were in the blind when this boar appeared, and saw the motion light come on, but they never saw him hang around for 5 or 6 minutes.

I got 3 alerts last night, looks like Ricky was out test tasting the corn for the hogs.

I helped my neighbor get baby Ricky out of their garage the other night. They've kept the garage closed since then.

So it appears the hogs have moved on, the other camera is showing no signs of them either.

Been watching this buck on my cell camera for 6 weeks or so. Shows up EVERY DAY in the evening and most mornings. My first deer with a bow. I completely missed my first shot and he turned a circle or 2 and looked around for a min, then went back to eating. Gained my composure enough to slip a muzzy through his lungs at 35 yards, and he expired after 20 yards.
Almost 16 inches wide with 10 inch g2, and 9 inch g3.

I have list of a couple farm projects to knock out next week, but I did put up a bow blind if time permits.

Opening day of pheasant here today, nice frosty cold morning. Came home with my limit, will clean them up once I get home later today. Between the 6 of us we put up about 10 birds.

Little foggy this morning

Bagged this ass hole last night with the truck. Standing in the road just as I came around a turn. Hit him square in the middle so the skid plate took the hit. First time hitting an animal of any size.

Wasn't planning on hunting this year until the week before Christmas. But my dad is putting his 33 acres up for sale tomorrow morning so I guess I'm gonna get my hunting in early after all. Gonna go tomorrow to check the zero on the 6.8 and then try to catch a Friday evening and Saturday evening hunt this coming weekend. Hopefully no interruptions from potential buyers coming out to look at the place.

Nice! I think pheasant hunting would be a blast to do.

its a blast. Especially with a few good hunting dogs, we had two Brittany spaniels and a GSP with us. Watching them go on point and having them retrieve the birds is always a fun experience. Plus it’s damn good exercise tromping through the woods instead of my usual sitting in a blind or stand!
