The pigs never showed up last night but at least I was in position to watch a bobcat for a little while. There will probably be a few trips for coyotes here soon. They are getting really bad in the area.
Excuse the movement; usually when I hunt the field I have a tripod I setup on. Last night we made a last minute decision to split locations so I setup the cargo area of the 4Runner as a stand. There is plenty of space until you have to sit back there and hunt too. But I think I have a few revisions for the next time that will make it work.
It's currently yote mating season.
I'm out enjoying the outdoors this Saturday morning myself.

yupYeah, seems like it is coyote mating season this time of year every year.
And while typing this post I look out my front window and have 3 standing in my front yardHad two mechanics call in on Thursday so I ended up covering g both shifts and didn't get home till after 10pm. Had a herd of these bitches in my yard. I need to knock the dust off my hunting gear this season. They have been busy in the last two years of me not hunting

Awesome!Checked out my new hunting lease yesterday. It is 300 acres in an L shape with a pretty good diverse mix of oaks and open areas with two year round water tanks and one seasonal. I found an old game camera with an SD card in it that shows really good promise from the 2020/2021 season. Pictures of lots of 2 or 3 years old bucks with decent racks and large feral pigs. This place should be a lot of fun after the work is done.
I setup three cell game cameras so we will get feedback really quick. The current plan to get a feeder setup asap to start feeding corn/protein quickly. Then get a properly setup feeder w/ pen put in at a new spot to start setting up blinds and such.
