I have multiple boar groups all over my lease. They tend to travel in a rotation but there are distinct groups. Even that huge boar I killed a few years ago had a buddy with him near the same size.
Several studies show.....mature males tend to be mostly solitar.

Maybe, I dont know what I'm talking about, and/or apparently I don't spend enough time outdoors compared to most folks.

Jason has had multiple boar groups on his property that roam around in two's and three's. It's confusing to him as well because he thought they traveled alone or with females as well.

All the big boars I've shot have been solo, then within a week or two, other sounders or juvenile boars move in.

I will print off the studies and leave them at the feeder for thr boars to read next time they come thru. The second thing I learned hunting pigs in a new area is pigs behave differently depending on the area.

I've seen both here, but the 250-300lb boars do tend to be solo depending on the time of the year.

Picked up a “base model” fiberglass blind today. No insulation, shelf, fancy windows, etc. Just fiberglass shell with carpet up to the sliding windows and a 5’ tower. Debating adding a couple feet to the tower and stairs to make it around 8’. But may get through this season with the 5’ tower and see if I really need to raise it or not. Definitely better than the rotted out, leaky plywood box I used last season.

Make sure you secure the legs with cable staked to the ground. Ask me how I know.

We always stake each leg and then a stake in the center with a cable tied to the bottom of the blind with a turn buckle for easy adjustments as needed.

Excited to get the HD picture of this one. Hard to see between the SD quality and the moisture on the camera. By far the widest rack we’ve seen on this place though. Hoping we can get quite a few culls off of the place this year. Taking some family after Thanksgiving and a couple buddies of mine right before Christmas. Just wish it wasn’t a one buck county and we could clear them out quite a bit faster.
