Prisoners run the jail here....I mean at my work place

On another note - who's ready to pay their "fare" share of taxes for web purchases? lol

I understand what they are trying to get at but wow is it going to cut down a lot of small online companies.

My 'fair' share should be close to Zero. I ask for nothing from the govt! lol

I haven't read it yet, but from what I "heard" on the news most of them should be excluded if they are truly small.

A lot of small online companies exist primarily as a retail shop through large online vendors - Amazon and eBay generally. If those two are forced to start charging and paying proper tax it will have a large impact.

That said- the online retail space has been blamed for the closing of brick and mortar stores for decades now. Once this takes effect we will really see if people are shopping online to save a few bucks or are tired of poor customer service and lack of selection that lots of smaller places provide.

Yeah it will definitely start having an impact. But...if it's not an item I need right now then I'll still buy it online because at the end of the day I'm not paying for gas, wear & tear on my truck and risking my life on the road to go get an item...

While I take advantage of the system to benefit myself, I have no issues with all companies being on an even playing ground by taxing all orders. Always seemed silly to me that online orders from out of state were not taxed. Should be enticed to buy local, not the exact opposite.

X2. I still try to avoid Amazon when I can.

My woman is an AMAZING shopper. Just this weekend, I got 4 dress shirts and 3 dress pants for work. Average price? about $7 - about 1/5 to 1/8 the price I would have paid in a store. I may not be as wealthy as I was but if I can get bargains, maybe it's okay. :)

Funny how Trump and the Media will be fighting over the real meaning of Fake News. Much like the comment I mentioned about IP, the 'Press' is trying to burn in peoples minds that they are not the 'Fake Press' when they really are. :) lol
