Does anyone really use the debates as a form of measuring the candidates anymore? Obama did great on the debates and has had a less than stellar career in the White House. So what does the debate really do anymore?

His businesses had to file bankruptcy, many times there are factors out of your control that require to file bankruptcy, I'm owed 10k in money by others for work I did, but when biz partnerships split up and the dude has heart attacks, not much I can do, but if I and others file against the biz, all they would do is file for bankruptcy.
I have an uncle, master electrian owns his own company, he is owed probably 100k from various builders, early into his business he had to file bankrupt because certain jobs had about 30to40k debt from the supply house, and he wasn't paid for his work.

Don't get it flipped around. Trump was that guy who was doing that to subcontractors all over my region for his AC Casinos and other buildings for decades. No one was doing that to him. Quite the opposite was actually done. He received many subsidies/handouts from state/local/fed and yet still never pays his bills. When that wasn't enough he bought our local golf club and is now turning that into a legal quagmire just like everything he touches around here.
I work with the major players in DC/Philly/NYC/Chicago and none of them will work for him. He has to hire out his labor through subsidies for his projects and his most recent projects had labor IMPORTED from China. I suspect that's the EXACT real reason he won't show his taxes. Everyone's eyes might actually open up to his bullshit once they actually see it. He enriches himself with foreign labor but spouts off as having Amercian values. His answer to everything is a lawsuit and if you base the man off his actions he's one step away from being a total fraud IMO.
Now he has a new scheme to screw us local people:
