On that topic; I read an article last summer about a house water design that used slightly cleaned grey water from the shower and sinks for toilet use. The design was suppose to cut household water usage by 1/5 for the average home. If the idea was plausible enough I would do something like that in my next house.

Has been my dream forever. about 30 years ago I bought a book entitled, "Healthy Home" or something like that. Not the one by Frank Lloyd Write by the same title but a VERY good book on healthy homes. I will look to see if I can find the title.

My friends ranch has a legit rain catch system set up. 5000 gallons or maybe its 10. Plus the 35 acre late is set up to pump from if needed. There is a clean water filter system set up so the water is safe to drink. The only thing that keeps it on the "grid" is the electricity service.

I would love to have that as a base setup. Solar panels and some wind turbines feeding a large bank of batteries. Maybe a couple generators as backup, or if I need to do some 220 welding/plasma cutting.

IMO all Red States need to have a quarantine area for Blue State Transplants. There they will need to prove that they know how to work, and not expect things to be given/granted to them. In Tejas, I would think a good urine stenched stockyard may be a good place to start. What do you think?

I've lived in Texas for 20 years and I moved to Austin 17 years ago. I used to enjoy going downtown and the dive bars and listening to live music. Now I have to deal with these fucking candy asses and it disgusts me. They are building a new high rise condo down on Town Lake (Sorry.. not calling it Lady Bird lake) and the condos are like $1Mil and up. But get this... NO PARKING.. NONE. Not to mention the fucktards kicked out Uber and Lyft from Austin. How the fuck do you get around from, your $1M condo when you have no place to park and the light rail system is a fucking joke? Buy up them $1 Million dollar condos its just making my property value go up as folks who have lived in Austin for years get a clue "Wait a minute... I paid $160k for this house 10 years ago and now someone wants to give me $500k".. done... time to move to the Burbs!

I miss old Austin. We used to have a family tradition when a son turned five the men would go to Texas Hatters for the kids first handmade hat. I remember when you couldn't see from one end of the Elephant Room to the other from all the smoke. They closed the doors tonight for the last time at the best place to get TexMex on S. Congress. Now who knows how much longer you will be able to get a chicken fried steak and dance at the broken spoke.

After doing my taxes last week I feel like that guy. Something about watching well over 30% of my income go places I'd rather it not, pisses me off.

Gay leaders and Scouts allowed last year, now transgender wtf? this may be our last year with BSA. We are chartered through our church it will not happen in our troop or leadership cause NALC Lutherans do not allow for any of these progressive ideals.
I don't want to support the BSA organization and the direction they are headed, thanks a lot Robert Gates, POS!
I willing to bet that the LDS (all boys are required in LDS, that is like their confirmation) will pull all their boys from Scouts as well, that would be detrimental to the BSA.

Yeah, I've been super disappointed in the direction BSA has been going. I loved the scouts when I was a kid, and planned on being a scout leader if/when I have a boy. I'm sure as hell not putting my little girl in GSA, guess she'll just have to learn the old way...from her parents by spending time outdoors/camping.
