Same issues as booze, but booze is accepted more due to the past 85 years of mass media marketing. Booze and cigarettes are far worse than weed in any factual way you look at it (Health/safety/environmental impact).

The ONLY thing weed has that is worse than booze is it's black market. More people are murdered and or assaulted selling weed illegally than moonshiners selling illegal booze. Once it's legalized it should be on par with moonshiners I would think.

Tomato Tamato. I don't care if people do it. Promoting it as a business is just plain SOCIALLY stupied. I think you know I am basically a teetotaler. I am not for prohibition but I do seriously recognize the detriments to society for both of them. Personally, I say, promote cocaine the same way and I may be all for that. It will be a self cleaning oven and in the meantime we'll get some increased 'productivity!'

Oh a movie reference. I know I should probably break my protest sometime but give me a good friend with something good to talk about or something good to cook and eat, or go for a hike or walk, and I will be doing something I enjoy way more than a Hollywood production - and I will be funding a farmer or stimulating a relationship.

When I am on my deathbed, I think watching a movie will be the last thing I will have wanted to do more of. ...and who the hell knows, I could be nearer to my death bed than I may think I am.

EDIT: I know I must sound closed minded and I am. For that I may apologize but will never be sorry.

I haven't been to a movie theater since I saw Blackhawk Down in Daytona FL and the only reason I saw that was because we had already explored the camps around the 500 for days and it was raining. Reminds me I need to add the Indy 500 to my bucket list.

Everything in moderation. Too much of anything is never good.

My mom just started going to matinees and plays in Philly with her friends. At 79 and having already used 11 of her 9 lives up - more power to her IMO. Anything to get her out of the house makes me happy. She's even taking public transportation to them. Three things she never liked (movies/plays/public transpo).
