Tell you what, I may not agree with the majority of the crap I have to deal with managing union guys - I sure as hell wish I was one of them. My guys have it pretty freaking good. Ill be on a jobsite at 5am tomorrow working for free meanwhile Ill be paying the union $1,125 per man for the days work per each man. Got 5 guys working so.. $5,625 in labor for at best 30hrs work (gotta pay for 8 even though they will work 6).

Puts tinfoil hat on.... Spent this morning writing a disclaimer....no idea if it will hold up in court, but I'm tired of the sue crazy a**holes trying so maybe this will lessen the amount of BS. Got a couple thousand sqft of storefront thats 20 years old the client wants us to remove the film from. I guarantee when we are done they will bitch about seeing all the scratches in the glass from the past 20+ years of it being installed/used then try and blame us for it.

The customer acknowledges that he/she has been fully advised that the removal of window film from glass involves inherent risk that the glass may be compromised as a result of the film removal process. The customer understands the nature and extent of the possible damage to the glass and fully assumes that risk.

Pictures... lots of pictures. Is there any "industry best practice" for removing film from windows this old that you can refer to and/or attach to this liability waiver? I tend to refer my customers to best practices when we have situations like this and let them decide from there.

Good idea. None that I have found and Ive looked. I need to actually write some best practices for a job I just landed. We will be swapping out all the glass at the Liberty Bell Center for the National Parks Service and that's a requirement they have. They also require we dispose of the existing glass in a "Green" manner. Been asking for weeks what "green manner" means. Either it goes into a dump and back to where it came from or gets recycled.

E Waste is a big deal now days as well. I tend to drill a lot of hard drives because I do not want any of my customers to deal with data leak issues. It makes the customer feel better, I feel better, and in the end it meets requirements for all the industries I work in.

I still haven't sent my hard drive in to be recovered. Last company I dealt with sent me the bad one back. I still have it because...paranoid

My small town does pretty good at waste disposal. I can drop meds & drugs off no questions asked to the yellow mail box inside out local PD and they send to to the DEA for disposal. Bulk yard waste and concrete disposal is free I just need to prove residency then drive it to our MUA. Once a month we have electronic drop off to town hall. Large electronics can be picked up at the curb if you make an appointment.

6 more days until Armageddon. I voted weeks ago via mail in. Most positions I didn't even vote for because they were one party and unopposed. Think the only votes I actually made were for Sheriff & Representative.....both were probably a total waste and who I voted for will get BLOWN out.

Time to ditch the electoral college so my vote starts counting in presidential elections. Tired of it being a waste.

No need to rethink it ~ I know my stances are crazy. I'd simply like my vote to count. Not looking to disenfranchise other voters like I am and have been for my entire adult life. Each vote should count IMHO. I don't care if the voters are black/red/yellow/brown/commies/liberals/republicans/anarchists/etc. If the country is majority tard and I don't agree with them then so be it.

I also feel a state with 20 million residents should not have the same exact amount of reps as a state with 1 million. Call me crazy....just my thinking.

Also tired of two parties running this country into the ground as they rob us blind.

No idea what party lines I'd fall into, but pretty sure at almost 40yo I'd avoid them all.

I know it sucks, but sadly pure democracy was entrained into me at a young age by my father. One of the few of his teachings I still take to heart. I actually kinda twitch when people call a pure democracy mob rule. Feel like a little bit of why it was founded dies when comparisons like that are drawn. My father always had similar complaints, but 50 years ago it was easier to get local victories. Those days are long gone so he gave up decades ago and moved south of the M.D. line to be with like minded folks. Ill be the last hold out for hope I guess.....until I can move out myself
