So I'm sitting here reading this Return on Humans - Insights and Inspirations
thinking that the #1 cause for workplace injuries is not having windows and the #1 injury is stress associated...
So buy some dam windows for your employees.....says a guy who sells windows. I can't see outside and I do think it is impacting me. I miss seeing outside. My office has (9) 4' x 8' windows in it ......................looking out to a warehouse that has no windows.

There is no way I could be cooped up in an office all day. Especially after what I have been doing the past 5 years. I'm willing to bet that legitimately my mental health would decline being put in a box like that. Depression etc. People aren't meant to be cooped up like that.

Sadly, I see those side effects now. At least at my old job I had a view of the exterior of the building.

On another note I find it funny the only client Ive ever worked for that's ever had safe rooms incorporated into their plans is a LARGE local utility company (PECO). Most other companies leave security to the lobby. These guys are planning for worst case and that someone makes it past lobby security up onto their floor. Even schools don't have the kind of security these guys are putting in. Heck I do work for GSA/FBI/Sherrif's office/Fed Courts/etc. and they don't have the forethought type of security PECO has....and I'm working on a remodel for average employees ~ Not the top floor corporate guys.

I work for a company that monitors and controls the grid in Texas. It's like a prison around here.. we joke the only thing missing is the guard towers around the perimeter.

Ill have some convicted felons working in there in a few weeks so...............still not as safe as some would like ..........
Best was when I was in the Liberty Bell Center a few weeks ago and I was upfront with the guards and told them I was carrying just about everything on me they had on the prohibited list. I had a meeting with the curator so they walked me around the metal detector and walla......good to go
I did have to remind my CCW workers to keep them in their cars. Don't need any of the guards seeing a imprint then freaking out and blasting my guys + we aren't legally allowed to carry in there.

I read the book below a few months back that highlighted how Texas has its own grid, with 2 others each servicing the rest of the country.
