The three things a modern society will always need. I find it interesting as NSG's market (Nippon Glass/Japan) dropped out from under it with the one exception being their solar products. I know most of you are in drill baby drill territory - I just hope if you work for an oil company they are diversifying. Glass and glass stuff seems to still be in high demand. I know the glass portion of my company has not reported any slow down or loss of market during the last 6 months. We have some plants slashing staffing while they are adding on people every week it seems.

The more we suppress human contact, the more glass is needed to keep that physical barrier. Then when they all go crazy we can sell them bandit proof glass for the mental health facilities and detention centers.

As far as building materials go - I do not see a slump in glass use anytime soon short of WWIII or a real air-born pandemic. Only domestic issue we are having is all the Chinamen coming over here with their crappy equipment and setting up shops to supply Americans with their sub par imported junk glass at significantly less then others. Basically they keep manufacturing of the raw materials - then ship their machines and workers here to compete on our own turf. No one can compete with their prices because no one uses such crappy glass to begin with. 99% of what I sell is quarried right in Carlisle, PA. Used to be American owned but PPG sold it to a Mexican company so they could focus on their chemical line (Paints).
