They shut down Ben Franklin Bridge so you could not get into Philly yesterday. Opened it back up at 6am this morning for essential personnel. Whole city still shut down as of now. I decided to come in late at 7am to avoid the National Guard, checkpoints, and BS - They got enough on their table so I adhered to the 6am curfew and didn't try to sneak through the city even though I could of w/my "essential status".

I can't for the life of me think of any situation like this that ever shut down Philly. 9/11 bridges never shut down, I did drive home early for fear of being trapped across the river and not being able to get home. Covid bridges never shut down. Numerous 3'+ blizzard snow storms and bridges still open. Multiple hurricanes and bridge never shut down. 2001 Mardi Gras riots....nada shut down. One freaking knee on a neck at the perfectly wrong time and boom goes the dynamite

Back in the Mardi Gras 2001 riots in Philly my buddy got assault of a police officer for falling into a horse. He was blind drunk. Took him months + $$$$ to get that cleared up. Officer on the street said he lunged at the horse. He tripped and fell into it. I was right next to him. Once he got taken in we decided to go home - you could tell the crowd changing as darkness settled in and it was starting to get bad w/cars driving into crowds etc.

I love how all the city's are saying the "outside forces" did all the damage to their cities. Thats total BS IMHO.

The only Target store not looted in Philly was being protected by it's citizens. And if you watch the video, the crowd of people protecting the store look nothing like the crowds at the "peaceful" protests
