Whoops just saw this. Yeah I left at 2:30. TMC wasn't affected at all this time because the Metro stopped all buses and the light rail going into Downtown. Last Friday during the first protest/lootings, people were parking in the TMC garages and taking the rail line into downtown so there was more traffic (those people didn't want to have their cars messed up while they fucked up other peoples cars & property).

So I learned today an 11:30am appointment 2 blocks from City hall in Philly - not a good idea. Ended up having to provide my papers multiple times, park 10 blocks away, and then catch shit from other LEO's inside once I got past the perimeter checkpoint. Catching shit from the leo's and protesters at the same time can kiss my grits.
Also got stuck in a building. Parked in their basement garage so I didn't come out to my car on fire and ended up getting locked inside the building. Took me 20 minutes of walking around yelling for someone or anyone to allow me out. These moron building managers have boarded everything up so egress is impossible. I bet the top 20 floors of condos that cost 1mill + have no idea what kind of death trap they are in right now. I do a ton of work in the building so I asked for one of the engineers I know. I explained to him how the building was unsecured if anyone can pull into the parking garage and stroll through the building so that breaking fire code regarding egress is doing nothing but putting people at risk. They board up the building to control access yet skip the 5 floors of basement parking that anyone can get onto any floor from. Then they lock everyone in the building in. Derp
The amoutn of codes put into place to insure saftey that get throw to the side for fear of covid or a riot is just dumb. Panic = stupid chess moves.

You know the world has been turned upside down when you guys are having skirmish's with protesters in your town yet Camden, NJ has been un-phased. Just goes to show you the "real" black community is not behind this BS. One of the most dangerous predominantly black small city's in America for decades has had zero looting.
Truth be told - there is nothing to loot and any riot damage would go unnoticed because it looks like a war zone all day every day in some areas. They do keep it cleaned up for appearances near the hospital/Subaru's NA HQ/Cambell Soups NA HQ.

TBH what could he really say that would calm the BLM movement? They think every word that comes out of his mouth is racist. So being quiet right now and letting local mayors, governors, etc...handle their area might be the right thing to do.

IMO American recycling is a total sham put on by the big waste companies and allowed by our gubment via kick backs and bribes. They (the mobbed up waste management companies) subsidize the cost of waste that goes into the landfills then jack up the cost of recycling so that it doesn't make fiscal sense to recycle. If you put the same companies who own the landfills in charge of recycling - any moron would tell you they would and have tweaked the system so that more goes into the landfills and less into recycling. Then when the recycling programs end the dump costs climb back up. Same shit China does when subsidizing companies here - they run everyone out of the biz then have a monopoly and jack the prices back up due to no competition. Freaking commies
America is decades behind Europe regarding recycling. Ive spent months on this exact topic looking to find a place to send old glass I removed from the Liberty Bell museum. National Park service wrote the spec and I had to follow. I was about to tell them that it came out of the ground so we were going to recycle it back into the ground, btu they wanted it to be reused and only a small handful of companies do that in our country.....and I'm just talking monolithic glass thats clean. No laminated glass with plastic in it. In England every car windshield gets recycled. In Merica every one goes into a dump.
