I agree. The class I had to take in TX was well worth the several hours it took.

My current county only requires a $78 check, a form, a picture and fingerprints. I was in-and-out in 20 minutes....only I had to come back once because the fingerprint lady somehow submitted my prints wrong....and then again because the tard that gave me the form forgot to take my picture. I didn't think anything of it at the time, as I figured they would just use the same photo as my DL.

I have been surprised by the "I can kill you" conversations I have had with different people in Texas. They seem to all have a very different idea of "self defense" vs actual legal use of deadly force. I even had one business owner threatening to hide and hunt trespassers in self defense. I explained to him even the statement of it negates the idea it will be self defense. If there is evidence of a hide then it becomes premeditated murder.

He quickly deleted the post but not before I got a screen shot. He is a douchecanoe and I would be happy to send him to prison.
