They are really trying to push electric buses down our throat even with several manufacturers going under (Proterra) because their focus was battery only. I've managed to shift my bosses attention off of 100% battery to Hydrogen fuel cell or Hybrid system. The Hybrid is probably the way we will go since it requires no charging station infrastructure or new fueling station. It basically is the big boy version of my Sequoia, just an electric motor back up, but built into the Allison transmission. It has a 10 mile battery only range that can be geo-fenced to kick on in urban areas, then it switches over to a Cummins diesel engine outside geo-fence or once bus reaches 31 mph. It regens batteries off braking/engine at that point. Pretty slick and efficient and not reliant on batteries at all if they crap out
So a bus that can make it up an incline when carrying more than 4 passengers? Seems like a good idea.
