It was tested in a very controlled manner, you don't just jam your finger in there and hope it works. We set the fence up on the saw to where it would be cutting about 1/16" off of a 4" strip of plywood. My buddy who bought the saw put his finger right on the edge of the plywood, to where he only stood to loose about a 1/16" of the side of his finger and went for it slowly. The saw stopped instantly. He runs a cabinet and trim business and had 4 table saws that all worked fine. He bought 1 saw stop saw and was considering replacing all of his saws with them, but at over $2000 each he needed to be sure that it worked. He now has 3 and still plans to buy a 4th.

Your garage is filling up fast, time to knock out the back wall towards the den and extend it....
Baker, I sold my boat a few years ago, because the kids were too young and it only gets harder to escape the house. About 2 years from now I'll buy another center console because they will be big enough and should be proficient to swim, the youngest will be 6 then. My old man still has a shallow water running boat though. I hope you get to use it more than I was thinking....
Nothing is funner than hooking up on a big fish having it pull you around in the kayak in the bay system...

Longevity, they are the right price and they have a good rep on pirate and welding web. I've got one and like it a lot.

Cool - thanks!

What model do you have?

They outfitted our Welding Lab at ASU... I just assume I had bias! :D

The model I have isn't made anymore but it's the equivalent of the LP-60D, same machine really but the old version I have requires much more input amperage than the new one but has the same specs and duty cycle.

Millermatic is a little out of my price range. Especially by the time I buy a bottle. TSC has the Hobart 190s for $650 so I'll go by tomorrow and see if they have any in stock here in the area. If so, I'll get one of those.

Northern tool has them as well.

Yeah but they're $750 and I only have $50 worth of NT discounts. Plus TSC is only about 5 minutes from the house.

Cool. Just throwing that out there that they had them.

Just gotta go pick up a bottle and some angle to build a cart. And the stuff to wire up a 220v plug.

you know I spent about 200$ on the cord and plug for my welder and I wish I would have got a longer cord....

I have everything already except the female plug for the cord. Wires are already run and everything. Just have to add the plug.
