Yep.. I've got a couple Milwaukee impacts. A newer 14v 3/8th drive and an 18v 1/2 drive. They are awesome.

That's great to know! My dad has just been known to "gift" things he no longer wants in his garage for a reason. LOL

Damn. I have the bigger brother of that vice, the 4800. Mine is in the garage though so hopefully bolts will never rust. Or at least a lot slower.

Ok missing $150 worth of impact sockets/small tool box since the move... may just get a couple cheap sets from Northerntroll and call it good.

I need to get a welder...I haven't welded since HS, and that was all stick welding and I was better on thicker metal items than thinner ones. Since I moved and my cousins automotive/muffer shop is no longer 10min down the road and losing his expert welders for my projects, I need to get my own welder and learn...

Any suggestions wire welder or?

Ok, looks like the 230 Ironman is a cart style on wheels ~$1400 the 210 looks like a hand carry

How much are you going to use it? What do you want to weld? My next welder will be a Miller 211.

Ya I've got a 210 cart style its an awesome welder has almost 100% duty cycle at full tilt. I recommend the ironman series over the handler series every time for a shop application

I would probably not use it much, but I'm not looking for crackle box either.
Trailers broken welds or gates, deer stuff, gates, build shop table and/or rolling table for truck cab or bed

Miller 211 looks similar to the Hobart 230, I'm guessing you already have the accessories that fit on the miller?

I have a Lincoln 180 now. Its fine for everything I use it for. Its more than enough. But I was using a friends Miller 140 last year and fell in love. Man it was such a nice machine. I've been contemplating putting my Lincoln on CL and then buying a Miller. They used to make a Millermatic 185 which would be perfect... but I only see used ones now. The 211 is the next size up and would probably be what I go with. As for accessories? Regulator is all I'll need. Spool gun would be nice but I don't own one, don't have a need at this point.

They do offer a Millermatic 180, but its strictly a 220 machine. The 211 is both 110 and 220 and its only about $200 more. I think that versatility is worth it.

He told they use the 211s in the shop, I'm sure the Hobart and Miller are both great welders

Ya they're both great welders the Hobart's just cheaper and very nearly the same quality

And to be honest.. a Lincoln 180 would be fine for all the tasks you mentioned above. Hell my buddy uses a Lincoln 140 and for 99% of the things he does its perfect.

I like my Handler 190 for the price. I don't do any serious welding though. It's perfect for odd jobs around the shop like the stuff you mentioned above though.
