He LIVES!!! Welcome back.
The right tool is huge. If it will save hours of frustration, it could well be worth it. Especially if the cost of the tool is less than paying someone who has the tool.
Buying things to impress others is a sure way to go broke.
I'm still trying to figure out my neighbors. They bought the house next to us to "downsize" and the first thing they did was make the house bigger. Added a 3rd garage bay, golf cart bay, gun room and upstairs "storage" area. He was not reluctant to tell me that the addition cost $100k. 5 cars, a golf cart and a motorcycle between the two of them. The Porsche is parked on a white shag rug in the 3rd bay.
He started an exterior house cleaning business so that his son could run it and quit his job at Home Depot. The son bailed on him and he had to find someone else to work for him. I saw him post on Facebook that he is now offering rides to the airport in his Porsche so that people can arrive in style.
So either they need the money (hence offering the airport shuttle), or he is just a work hound and always looking at how to pad the pockets. I can't tell if they are living on credit or in total abundance....
9/10 times it’s credit debt. Not sure it makes much financial sense to offer a ride in a Porsche for a one man band. There are rental places that rent fancy cars out, but for the cost of parts, insurance, liability, and the fact that you’re racking up miles on your actual own Porsche it just seems like a dumb idea.
the art of deception seems to be most people’s specialties these days, convincing others they are living the high life when in fact it’s just ramen noodles and Miller High life.
It’ll be interesting to see where this country heads when the PUA runs out and those fat lazy pieces of shit can no longer afford to sit at home.
