I had to disassemble my DeWalt 20V air compressor so I could install a new 1/4" rubber supply hose. The original hose had a hole wear into from contacting something on the case. I didn't feel like driving it across town to take it to a certified repair shop.

Fixed my broken Makita framing gun as well.

Will admit metric is easier to work with once you get the understanding of it.

Kinda wish everything would go to metric, I hardly use my SAE tools anymore.

Sad but true, only wrenches I've been turning are metrics. I can get a set of SAE for damn near 1/2 the cost of metrics

Anybody got a recommendation for 6 point box wrenches? I started rounding off my taco fan clutch hardware using 12 point.

got a link? My early morning google search must be weak.

This set is pretty good.

These flat wrenches will probably be one of my next tool box additions.

I think I got a set from HF, but it might have been HD. I'll go check.

Edit: I have the Husky set from HD.

Double Edit: I read flare nut wrench. I have a husky flare nut wrench set along with a metric/sae ratcheting wrench set. I think Milwaukee also has good wrenches. Also check out GearWrench.

I'm sorry, just noticed you were calling out specifically a 6 sided wrench. I think those ratcheting wrenches are 12 point.

Thanks, I did a little googling here today, picked up a 28 piece SAE/metric gear wrench 6 point set. I already have some ratcheting gear wrench sets so they'll match the rest of the collection. It seems at least gear wrench doesn't offer any 6 points in ratcheting, that's fine with me. Sometimes it's nice to have the 6 point, the 12 point started rounding off my buddies fan clutch nuts when we were trying to remove this weekend. I picked up the 81923 set for under a hundred bucks on amazon.

The only 6-point ratchet wrenches I've seen that I can think of off the top of my head are Tekton, though I'm sure there's many more. I've heard decent things about Tekton tools for home use but all I've had from them is two sets of screwdrivers I've gotten for Christmas. The screwdrivers are decent but nothing to write home about.
