Good to know my impact is way over built.
I have some craftsman 6pt sets from many moons/years ago. I would also like to note, when I was a crew chief on rotary aircraft, if the bolt or nut was a 6pt, a 6pt wrench or socket has to be used.Anybody got a recommendation for 6 point box wrenches? I started rounding off my taco fan clutch hardware using 12 point.

The only 6-point ratchet wrenches I've seen that I can think of off the top of my head are Tekton, though I'm sure there's many more. I've heard decent things about Tekton tools for home use but all I've had from them is two sets of screwdrivers I've gotten for Christmas. The screwdrivers are decent but nothing to write home about.

I been thinking of getting long handle 6pt metric wrench set if they are not too expensive, a lot tractor bolts are 6pt.

IMO 12 pt wrenches are junk and should only be used in tight spaces. 12 pt sockets should be melted down to make 6pt 10mm![]()

I agree, I don't know why anyone would use 12 point if a 6 point is available unless there is a space constraint with where you can rotate, but now with the fine tooth ratchets and the like that's even less of an issue. The only bolt I've encountered over the years that needed a 12 point socket was the driveshaft flange bolts on my ford, and funny enough that bitch was torqued to hell on there and I broke the 12 point 10 mm socket taking it off![]()
