I thinking I need to change passager front caliper and I have my rear brake Pistons on the list, probably should due that rotor conversion
Link to rotor conversion?

Houston, I have a problem too. I'm thinking I have a caliper problem too. I spent all my time tonight rebuilding the ICONS. If you can't see it, the brake pad is only in contact with the outer most 70% of the rotor.

Pull those pad/rotor and measure/mic the surface and see if they are sloped, you probably need a new brake caliper as well

How are you doing that? Bad pads?

Going to pull it apart - I am kind of hoping that the caliper mount has something on the mounting bosses that have caused the caliper to be mounted on an angle. Getting out the dial indicator now. :)

Don't forget the 'Easy Button' on this job. :)

This article suggests that my wheels will accommodate these calipers. I shall see. :)

Which truck are you putting it on? That is the Tundra Brake Upgrade that is pretty popular for 1st gen Tacomas and 3rd gen 4Runners. I believe this specific swap is possible due to the calipers being a direct bolt in. This can be done with some 16" rims; some require spaces, some do not. I am looking to do this upgrade to my 4R pretty soon.

Lots of TBU specific info here: Hard to find Specs, Info & Measurements on 231mm 13WL Tundra Calipers & Rotors - Toyota 4Runner Forum - Largest 4Runner Forum

... I was hanging my 'trucker hat' on this statement in the somewhat vague article in FourWheeler...

All of the parts necessary are readily available from RockAuto, and the same upgrade can also be performed on FJ Cruisers, third-generation (1996-2002) 4Runners, and second-generation (2006-2015) Tacomas.

It also tickled me when I saw this:

My thoughts were, If I have to replace a caliper, even a 5% improvement would be a home run. :)

The 3rd gen 4Runners have a drastic improvement. You can find the whole setup ready to bolt on and go on Amazon for less than $300. That is the route I am probably going with.

I am going to 'rent' a caliper from my local parts store to fit check. Then if it works, I'm going to order tundra backing plates from Toyota and order this kit (I think) from Rock Auto.

Only thing is I am not wild about the red or the drilled and slotted and I have always believed that red calipers were for cars that cost north of $100k but I could always paint the pretty lip stick. :)

Post pics and start a new upgrade thread. I know there are more than a few 2nd gen Tacomas that would do a brake upgrade cheap.
Let's make sure it fits and STOPS first. :)

Progress. Wheel weights will be tight but its looking do-able. :)

Sadly, I did not pick up set of rotors to test. Off to the store again. :( On my drive I will decide if I really want to cut my backing plate just for a test. One issue may be my spindle gussets. Fingers crossed.
