Last time I used the taco. Now I need tow mirrors for the fucking tundra. Fucking toyotaAhh... I thought you upgraded the Taco to a Tundra.
Man that looks awesome!! How about a cage under the camper for the ginny? Not sure it it would be disruptive but it would be a good place to store it.

Some decent sound barrier insulation on three sides and it probably would not be a whole lot different than on the ground.
Thanks! I'm pretty excited to not have to sleep on the ground anymore.
Even though the Honda is quiet is still transmits vibrations through the camper when running on the deck. I'll definitely be putting belly boxes along the sides of the camper for storage, but the generator will be on the ground when running.
My current goal is to fix the fuckery that is the wiring in this brand new camper. There's only one fuse in this thing, and that protects the AC. All of the 12V, the fridge, water heater, etc are run straight power with no circuit breakers or fuses. I got into this thing cheap enough to take the time to correct what they call wiring though. The hassle will be tracing all the wires that are running in the walls. I'm not looking forward to that.
Put the AC and water heater on separate circuits and you should be good
That is kinda screwballs to wire the camper like that
Isn't there a site to report shitty engineering? Someone should report them before they burn someone up.I agree, and I can't believe that they have gotten away with wiring these campers like this.
I picked up a converter/charger that has a main 30amp breaker for AC power and a fused 12V panel. What I'm hoping is that they ran the 110 to the fuse leading to the AC and then continued from there to the rest of the 110 accessories. I'll run the extension to the new circuit breaker in the converter, then run every other accessory in the camper to that panel.
The converter will give me 12V power while hooked up to shore power. The camper currently doesn't have a battery in it as they designed it to run off the batteries in the truck. I'll add a battery bank and solar after I fix everything else.
That looks great!!
Negative. They're sitting side by side in the shop. The trailer is something I'm working with my dad on and we're only off together two days every month. Were getting ready run the electrical week after next and then I'll start knocking out some smaller stuff myself like insulation. Then I'll have to wait until we're off together again to start skinning the outside. I could have probably been working on it myself and had it done by now but since it's just a "for the fuck of it" project and there's no real deadline I prefer to wait until we can both work on it.
