What have you done to someone else's ride lately?

So what is he doing with it?

Parted out. Missed the recall then cut it up before Toyota settled the frame lawsuit. Basically he cut up a truck that could of been fixed by Toyota for free then sold. Ant - did you grab his fuel pump? I need/want that mofo.

Replaced the window motor and regulator on a 2001 GMC Jimmy today. Fuck that shit. First of all you need a 7mm socket to get the door panel off. Who the fuck uses a 7mm socket for anything? Just make it 8mm like everything else. So a trip to Lowe's was made. Of course the 3/8" drive 7mm socket looks way too big to get into where I need it so 1/4" drive it is but I don't have a 1/4" ratchet at my apartment so I have to get one of those too. Ended up just buying a whole Kobalt 1/4" socket set. Get back home and get the door panel off. The fucking regulator bracket is riveted to the door skin. Don't have any drill bits small enough to drill out the rivets so back to Lowe's for a drill bit set and some 1/4"x3/4" bolts and nuts to bolt the new one in because fuck rivets. Finally got back to work on the window and realized this is not a one person job. Somehow managed to get it done by myself after cutting almost all my fingers on the tracks and linkage inside the door. Would have been pretty simple with 2 people but wanted it done before the girlfriend got back from work. Can't wait until she finally gets rid of this POS and gets the FJ she wants. I thought Toyota engineers were dumb but GM takes the cake on this one.

Wife took her Q70 in the body shop this morning. About 3 weeks ago she was caught in a hail storm, she called me during it and it sounded like she was in the middle of Bagdagd circa January 1991. It sounded bad! Well she gets home and I am expecting this thing to look like a golf ball. Nope... I could not find one dent on it. Now it was wet and all but it appeared fine. Next day I look and it still looks fine. Well last weekend before the trip she had the car detailed. So when we pulled over for gas I was looking at the passenger side and the chrome trim has these little tiny lines in it.. like some hit it with a small screwdriver or something.. maybe 12 little "dents". WTF... then it hit me. The hail. So we took it in today, one little dent in roof to be paintless dent removaled and replace 3 pieces of chrome trim.. $2100!

Ok, so the PDR guy came out today.. body shop called just a moment ago. Apparently there was about 20-40 micro dents... fuck I could not see them and we had the car detailed again on Tuesday! He said they use special lights.. whatever.. or just fib that shit.

Wife also brought home the rental she got.. fucking Jeep.. not a nice Jeep.. a baby Jeep Renegade. Luckily the car should be done on Monday.

I would hide that ugly vehicle in the garage as well so the neighbors dont see it. If someone ask you about it just tell them it belongs to your lesbian sister.

Had to science the shit out of this storage solution. Pretty happy with the result. Haven't parked cars in the garage since Sunday....just in case. Seems solid. Tent and the rack is almost exactly 250lbs. Here's what I used.

Pretty awesome. I wanted to do that with my kayaks in my shed but gave up. Science got the best of me on that project.

If your worried about the OE brake system and want to double the safety factor just tie some para-cord lines into the ceiling frame and clip them to the RTT system once it's up at ceiling height.

@PSU Taco85 needs to do that so he can use his truck bed again.

It has a built in brake setup that seems pretty stout. It's a solid metal piece that clips in so it can't unscrew. I do like the idea of having extra safety built in though.

I will say, I'm less worried about it unraveling and more worried about how well I hit the studs in the ceiling. I've never hung something that heavy to a ceiling before. Yes, there are 10 lag bolts per side, but still....it's a very scary situation when you have nearly $80k in vehicles sitting right beneath it. After a few days I'll feel ok parking the cars in there again.
