What have you done to someone else's ride lately?

Right on. Haven't seen anyone run 5th Gen coils on one. I need to get some new coils for mine. Just having a hard time figuring it the spring rates/lengths of all the options since most manufacturers don't post them.

5th gen 5100's set at second notch on stock springs along with 5th gen rear springs and metal tech retro fit give it about 2" lift right at about level. Any extra weight in the rear has it sitting slightly nose up.

Got some work done on a friend's m116a2 trailer. Started it's life out as an 8 lug with drum brakes and a 3/16" plate platform with.

Got the new spring perches welded on and swapped out to a 6 lug axle, got a piece of 1/8" plate for the top to replace the 3/16" rusty plate, and started making some sides out of 2" square tubing. Plan will be to finish off the front and built a tailgate for the back, and rewire for 12V lights since it was previously set up for 24V.

I have no idea what the plans are for as far as usage goes, just cutting and welding based on what the guy asked for.

I spent the first 30 years of my life without one and man I guess I didn't know what I was missing. It makes doing any job I've ever worked on 1000x easier; I don't think I could ever go back to not having one now, so if I ever move I'll have to make sure I plan for it lol

Don't forget it helps those with a bad back/spine also.

No shit, who? They haven't scheduled yet.

UTtaco34 is his username over on "the forum that shall not be mentioned."

... You know, the one that sends Sean cursing, wanting to punch something, and eventually scraping stickers off other people's trucks.

In fairness, the sticker needed to go :)

LOL.. I forgot about that. You know that was scripted like an episode of <insert reality TV show here> . LOL

But yeah, sticker looked much better on the edge of my knife. I'll be honest, that is the only time I have used that particular knife for anything useful.

That is being pretty generous with the word "useful". But at least it was doing good deeds.

Well it was the second time I had really pulled it out of the sheath... aside from looking at it and then hitting a pallet so see what it would do. :) But it was useful.

LOL. I thought you were all swingers and supportive of the lifestyle :D.

In all seriousness, while I like it here better, they have a greater number of idiots who buy used stuff. Especially when you are trying to sell something locally. Not calling UTtaco34 an idiot, because he got a great deal on a suspension that served me well. If you need to get Tacoma parts in front of the masses, TW is a step up from Craigslist for non-OEM parts.

That knife looked more like a chisel if I remember it correctly. At least it served its purpose well.

Speaking of used stuff, @Silverback coming to DFW anytime soon?

It does look the part of a chisel.

When I got home today after the dealership I did some maintenance on the Tacoma at 275k miles. It deserved an oil change, air filter, washer fluid topped off, and checked the tire pressure. I sent my sandwich maker a this picture requesting her to stop parking under the trees at work.

So I went ahead and ordered a complete hub assembly from Marion Bumper for the Tacoma. I plan to replace the driver's side (worst side) first and then the passenger side next paycheck.
