I bet your wallet isn't happy lol

I'm about to have to put another set of tires on my S60 because the Michelin's are only making it to an average of 25-30k miles. Probably gonna try some continental's next.

That's about all I ever hot out of them on both of my expeditions too. Supposedly they were good for 60k lol

The LTX M/S got 60k if you took care of them but yeah these lower tier Michelin's aren't lasting

They always blamed it on my dirt roads and wouldn't honor the warranty

Yup, The Laundry Fairys set lasted 60k, and the new defenders that got put on last year now come with a 70k warranty.

We got about 30k out of the Michelins that came on our Expedition too.

That's bullshit. No dirt roads here and we still got the same mileage. I don't recall seeing an asterisk by the treadwear warranty on any tires that I've purchased....

*pavement princesses only.

I didn't wait for the tread to get low enough to try to claim warranty on the OE Michelin tires. The Expedition seems to hydroplane easily. I figured with it being the family hauler that I would just replace the tires and it would be good. We put on General Grabber ATX and are currently around 40k on them. I can tell they are getting low because I hydroplaned on a road trip this past weekend. First time that has happened since the tires were replaced. It was raining like we were driving in a hurricane, so there was LOTS of water on the road. Not sure any tire wouldn't have hydroplaned in those conditions, but now I'm hyper sensitive about it and considering replacing them sooner rather than later. They have enough tread on them still that I could probably sell them on Craigslist or Marketplace.

I am not sure there are any "good" tires on the market today that are as good as they were 5 or 10 years ago.

Wifes XC90 threw a "Start/Stop Service Required" warning light. As I expected the first thing to check is the aux battery (small 10Ah battery to help with the engine shutting off at lights and restarting). Anyhow, I tried to charge it.. says its charged. Battery tester says its "good".. but light is still on. So.. ordered a new battery (AGM).. cheaper than a trip to the dealer for them to sell us a new battery for $200 plus a $200 install.. not to mention when can they get us in. So anyhow, I'll install the new battery tomorrow and hope for the best.

Well that cheap ass battery I bought on Amadong lasted just over a year. Same error... so this time I went with a better option. Noco lithium battery.

Its super small... thats what she said. :) But we'll see, it may be too small despite the page saying its a replacement for the current battery. Worst case it goes in the shed as a power supply for lights and rechargeable items that is charged with a solar panel.

Welp, old battery was shot. 10.7 volts. New one is so dang small. It comes with extensions to make it fit in battery trays.

Still holding up? I went to go ride my bike this morning and the battery was flat. Thinking of just replacing it with something lighter weight and this brand popped up along with another one called Tykool. Both have good reviews and weigh about 1/2 what my current one does lol
