lol I think I now know why I hate my parking brake so much! WTF? Not sure I know how this happened but I know what I have to do. I know I have some good luck coming my way!

Changed a tire on a beadlock and whacked 3" (tapered to 2.5") off the trailing edge of my Shrockworks bumper. I should be able to stuff completely without touching metal. :)

Took the 7 to the best Bimmer guy in town. Good thing, I used to be part of a 6 am crew at a local bagel shop 30 years ago where about 5-6 of us would have bagels and coffee. I used to come to his shop to buy parts back then. He remembered me and circumvented me having to deal with a service writer and he is going to diagnose himself. Just like an expensive specialist attorney, I can't afford to train someone on diagnostic work. Hopefully he won't hammer me to hard. After I told him what work I had done on it, he said in his deep German accent, "Man, you are brave - those are not small or easy jobs." Now we shall see.

Taco: Mounted second tire on the beadlocks - takes about an hour for each one. 24 bolts. Just ordered 125 class 8 5/16"- 18 x 1.25" and 125 5/16" stainless washers to redo or sell my beadlocks with. $20 plus shipping. $15 for FedEx ground if the USPS won't do a flat rate for less. That would have cost me the price of a tire at my local bolt shop. Http://www.wholesalebolts.com

Used a cheap cigar to make a smoke machine out of juice bottle, cigar, hose and Coleman mattress pump. Worked well. Good and bad news: No vacuum leaks. Time to replace some sensors and actuators I guess. :)

Worked on the taco. Had to put a new backing plate on one side so I changed out wheel bearings, seals, (OE wheel cylinders had less than 10k on them), new hardlines and finally modified the bracket to hold the SS brake lines I purchased from All Poo years ago. They required a 0.625 round hole - I am certain that they were cheaper for them to buy and it would be us suckers problem to sort it out. did any of you that bought SS lines get ones that locked into the hex opening in the bracket? Or am I imagining things?

And isn't it appropriate that I see this car the day I put on the ARP studs. Sadly, I need to cut them down since they are made for racing where they require x threads showing out of the nut and I'm too cheap to buy $80 set of nuts when I have a couple of sets of extended lug Gorilla nuts.

I run the allpro ones (which are crown lines) and I had issues with mine coming out of the brackets but thanks to the northeast salt they are now rust welded into place LOL. The fronts I lost the little horseshoe clips so my lines kinda just dangle in the breeze, I should probably get that fixed

^^^ Describing my issue just without the rust.

I bought actual Crown Lines and they fit like a glove! I have not doubt AllPoo could fuck them up though.

A few days ago I removed both of the capacitors from my truck since they drain your battery if you don't DD it everyday. Glad to have those gone finally.

Can you scrape it off?

Can you scrape it off?

Great question. When I go out again I will try. At least I will knock down the high spots.

Also got 4 beadlocks balanced for $24. They didn't really clean up where the tape weights went so I had to re-do them but I think I may have gotten exactly what I paid for! lol

I only asked because you could scrape it off and start over. I would try

Yeah, that's not going to happen. I may be able to knock the high spots though. I just would hate for someone to think it's what it says it is.

So I found out that my gas tank is close enough to empty to sputter at 300 miles on the odometer. I had to stop at the house to put a few gallons in the 4R so I could get to the gas station. Then I filled up from empty. I think I need to quit pushing the odometer so hard on a single tank of gas or get better at walking. lol

Not really. Just using spot putty to smooth over some of the chips, a few gouges and a few uneven places. The red spot putty has worked great in the past. This has turned a 20 minute task into a two or three hour cluster fuck. Tried using a cabinet scrapper to get the crap off caused more damage. Oh well. Should have left it as is. lol :(

How big is the tank in that thing?
