What have you done to your ride lately?

Replaced one inner tie rod. Replaced a clamp to the outboard CV. Wholesale was $7. I do love the clamp tightener I bought at Napa years ago - to tighten Toyota clamps. 7am appointment for alignment and then ginish loading and push off to Montana.

Looking forward to some pics for those of us that are locked up at work.

If you think they backed out of the threads you can put a piece of monofilament fishing line in the threads when you screw it in. It acts as a lock nut.

Hmmm good idea. I'll have to try this.

Bill Burke school of shackles - keep them in your bag - not on the truck. You want to hand tighten then back off a half or quarter turn so that you can still unscrew it after a load has been put on it.

Yeah I need to get that Factor 55 flat folding link. And I have a screwdriver that I keep handy to help unscrew it after it's been on awhile.

Thanks and we'll take the pics. The screwed up part is my infection is not doing well. I am torn between canceling the trip but I just hope and pray that this new drug kicks it's ass. The only ass it's kicking right now is mine since I am allergic to it, can't sleep well while on it.

It would suck to get out in the wild and have that thing turn worse. That said; I tend to never take good medical advice. Free or otherwise. So far I have been on meds of some sort at 2 out of 3 Jambos.

I know EXACTLY how you feel. That's how I felt when we left for the Moab & Colorado trip, I was so burned out and needed to get out of Texas for awhile. But man, if it came down to almost losing a toe I doubt I would've gone.

Wasn't going too but it's also helpful that my wife could've helped me if I did have a medical issue. I would've made her study human toes on the whole trip up there!

Dropped in a new battery in my 3rd gen 4Runner. Now it looks like I need to upgrade my battery holder. This battery is a little thinner than the stock battery.

2 pieces of angle iron for each side of the battery and a piece of flat stock to tie it together.
