Well my rear bumper is done! Just need to pallet it up and ship it out. Downside is that Texas takes the longest to ship to. He said about 12 business days. Item actually goes to Indiana and then back this way.

Thoughts on these? Saw em the other day. Figured it'd be a lot easier to make them.
Total Chaos Tacoma Bed Channel Stiffeners
Okay, I was at my local Off-road god's home yesterday and we went out to inspect my truck.

When got out from underneath the truck, he was shaking the bed and opened the tailgate. He said, "You should put a set of those TC bed stiffeners on this thing?" lol I said that I was thinking of doing something on the inside. He said, "Roger, do more Real Estate and less unnecessary fab work. Get a set, put them on and enjoy life." :)

I noticed my rear axle sway bar end links had some play in them when I did my axle swap. Tonight I installed some new longer end links that should help with body roll and allow more travel on the rear axle when off camber.

The test drive was pretty positive. I usually drive the roads around my house fast enough the little beeping sound for roll over hazard comes on a good bit. I ran the roads after the install and only had the beeper go off once.

I helped install a sway bar and sway bar mounts on a Taco like vehicle today. :) I'd love to have one of those ones that can disengage by using a switch on the dash. :)

You were not working on a Heep were you? Any pics of said "Taco like" vehicle?

That looks good @tx_shooter

Nice work!

I cannot comment on Rogers exploits. But I am jealous. :)

I noticed my power steering pump was groaning a bit this morning so I checked my fluid level tonight after dinner. The reservoir was noticeably low. I topped it off and then started looking for a leak. I think I found it but will have to wait for tomorrow night to jack it up to tighten the power steering hoses. I am hoping it is just the return line got loosened up a little on my last trip to Bridgeport.

Of course I was looking at getting a stock alternator and having it rebuilt by a local shop to double the output on it. That might have to wait a little while now.

Somehow last week I dropped a penny into my stock 12v cigarette lighter outlet that's under my center consul arm rest and blew the fuse. I removed the penny but never replaced the fuse. Today I did the same darn thing to my outlet under my radio. had the car for almost 2 years and that never happened once. Now I've done it twice within a week. :BangHead:

My neighbors 2001 Chevy pickup threw an ECU light. Plus the truck ran like shit. Come to find out the ECU runs off the cigarette lighter fuse and it was blown. Replaced the fuse and then it ran fine. Weird! You would think it would have its own fuse but nope!

Makes me wonder what isn't working on mine since they are both on different fuses and my center consul USB is still working. Doubtful they are the only items on those two fuses because the fuse box is minuscule.

I wiped off all the leaked power steering fluid on my rack and pinion. I cycled the steering back and forth a few times hoping to get a decent enough leak to find the source real quick; but no such luck. Hopefully by the time I get home tomorrow there will be enough for me to identify the source and plan from there. I am not real sure what the best option is on this one. Bad rack and pinion or just bad power steering hoses?

Got one up and running by just changing the fuse after I got the penny out with a pencil/3m tape. The other one is going to be a little harder. I unsuccessfully tried to remove the penny last night w/3M VHB tape and this morning by gluing a carpenters pencil to it, but the 3M didn't hold and the glue didn't set up enough this morning. Think Ill try some epoxy tonight.

Apparently it's not as uncommon as I thought. I looked online last night and there are about 1,000 posts where people are asking for help/ideas.
