The oil is changed by removing the plug screw and working a tube in to the deepest part and the using the syringe to pull it out. Easily said; bit of a bitch to get done. They did not leave much room in there.

Gotcha, I remember seeing wheelers and dealers tv show when they did the service on a mini cooper and they had to remove the whole thing. A syringe would still seem easier than disassembly.

Today I got around to getting the 50 hour break-in maintenance done on the Kubota. Changed the transmission fluid (HST), both the suction filter and hydraulic filter, new primary and secondary air filter, new gear oil in the mower gearbox, greased all the zerks, and replaced the blades with a new set I'm going to sharpen the set that was on there and keep for a spare so I can swap them out in the future

The cities and counties down here don't put salt on the roads. We actually have to put our own Loctite on bolts

I put the blue on everything just to keep the salt out. Works pretty good, but not 100% + you need to drench everything in it for it to work.

Inspection then off to county tax office for sticker, all in 30 minutes of time on a Friday, incredible.

@Anathollo I bolted that DeWalt box to one of Husky boxes that I have.

The taco will be back to DD next week, oil change #26@125k miles greased u-joints and topped off fluids.

I also did the 125k oil change this past weekend and greased U-joints. I noticed some of the fluids could use to be topped off, so I'll be going around and doing that sometime this week. Probably should have done it while I was already under there, but I had a few other (more pressing) issues to handle.

Not sure what happened but on the way to work this morning my stereo made a God-awful noise... loud BOOM/POP and then front passenger component speaker started buzzing loud as hell. All other sound was gone.. Time to troubleshoot. I didn't smell the magic smoke so hopefully nothing is dead.. but who knows. I'll start by unplugging headunit RCA's into the DQX tonight and see if it goes away.. plug a tablet or similar into the RCA's on the DQX and see if it will play. Hope its not the headunit. Shit I really hope its not the DQX!

So I noticed 1 of my tires looks like shit and can only assume it's from Colorado. Anither tire has some of the same issues but not as bad. I was already wanting to upsize so I will talk to discount tomorrow and see what they will do. Another tire that is my spare has a chunk of the sidewall missing but it's not to the cords so DT was hesitant about covering it on road hazard. Now have 2 tires that I dont feel good about and a spare that, making it 3 that need attention.

Looking at the BFG ko2 load C or the Falken AT3w in standard load. Both are 285/70/17. BFG are about $400 more for a set of 5.

The tires look fine really. That chunking is in the outer tread blocks. Shouldn't impact performance or life of the tire much.

The tires down at the hunting camp get chunked up like this pretty good. Maybe those don't last quite as long because they never leave rocks and cactus, but that has never caused a tire failure to my knowledge.

They wouldn't worry me, but I'm the a-hole who has driven around with 8 plugs between 4 tires and 1 of them was in a sidewall

I made use of the spare mounting parts from the roof rack and used some extra long wheel studs to make mounts for the traction boards. Overall they were a lot cheaper than the Tred mounts and work for my needs.
