I don't think floormats and a radar detector count as real "mods"... maybe on Tard World. Won't be upgrading the stereo either, its got the 1000 watt Bang & Olufsen system that sounds pretty good. No winch, no bumpers, no rack, no solar. Might get a leveling kit which is new coils. When these Michelin tires wear out I'll maybe get some KO2 or similar AT tire just because I like the looks of them.. not for off-road traction. Farthest off-road this will go is at the farm.

Since I am paying for the parts and swapping out the stuff I can I am posting it this as my Tacoma...

Today I picked up a set of stock tail lights in great shape for $75 to replace the damaged lights that are getting replaced. This is saving me $225 off the insurance quote which will make the deductible a bit easier. This is all from when my sammich maker backed into a tree and pipe fence with the Tacoma. Tomorrow we are dropping it off at the Toyota body shop to get the rest of the body work done.

Once the Tacoma gets back I need to swap the driver's side hub and finally replace the clock spring in the steering wheel. My sammich maker spent some time in an Rav4 this weekend and is finally agreeing with me that she should get one. So the next question will be if I keep the Tacoma for a 3rd vehicle or sell it to put it towards the Rav4.

I survived...Barely. I also found some other RTTers. My springs did very well with all the weight in the rear. I’m happy with it and am going to run it a month and see what they do. I may remove the overload leaf and replace it with another Chevy spring. We’ll see.

My truck has had a good run but an actual repair must happen ASAP. Driver door lock actuator is being finicky and will not lock or unlock with the remote or the button inside. Thankfully they are cheap and I am pretty sure I can do it fairly easily.
