What have you done to your ride lately?

Getting a couple small things knocked out today. Front skid is being painted and getting ready to go on later this evening. Leaving the others off for now since I plan to tear I to the trans in the next week or two to install a shift kit and cooler. While I'm waiting on pain t to dry, I built a. We washer fluid reservoir. The stock one hangs down low enough to see it with the CBI bumper and looked terrible. So I copied a build I found on the other site and built this up. It attaches around the fan shroud so itll be up and out of the way and not visible (hopefully).

What shift kit are you installing?

Supposedly when this car was built, the hood was the largest single molded piece of metal fitted to any production car yet. Doesn’t surprise me. This hood is freakin huge!

I replaced the two hard plastic coolant lines that run underneath the intake manifold. They are known failure points in the coolant system and I’m glad I replaced them because one was brittle enough to break off in the engine. (That was fun to extract). Now I’m pressure testing the system and all seems to be holding well. I’m going to let it sit for a couple hours to be sure.

I am interested to see how that installs. The washer reservoir hanging so low is one thing I do not like.

I'm going to have to pull the trans cooler lines to get it installed. So it might wait a week or two until I do the cooler install.

Just wrapped up, new LCA Bushings, alignment hardware, fill front diff and a bunch of new seals. Other than filling in those gouges, chasing the threads on the bolts that hold the spindle to the lower ball joint/uniball and polishing thes spacers and bolts so that they were not binding. I am certain you all know this trick but I love how easy it is to slam the CV axles with a slide hammer and this 'trick.'

Explain the trick to installing it. I normally just put the old nut on the end and smack it in with a dead blow.

For removal I do like the trick of wrapping a small cable around the axle and the other end around a hammer and smacking it out. Makes removal easy peasy.

I had a plant manager kind of pissed I refused to come on site this week and I told him there was no way possible I was going to have a good trip if I was not home this week to finish my prep. Then there was no way in this world he wanted to be the reason my trip went bad because his people kept screwing up their stuff. Needless to say; I'm home this week with only one thing left on my list before packing. Is it time to roll yet?

That's Mr Asshole to you
If he is following Roger they will be going to fast to need a winch. Momentum will carry them through or over anything.
