Found out the issue for my check engine light and traction light. Looks like I pulled 2 wires out of the cam sensor plug. Went ahead and ordered the plug from the dealer for $25 and will be here tomorrow.
Because we all love pictures.

No shit! I was going back through each plug to double check everything and while unplugging the coil I noticed it.

Well, the new plug for the cam sensor didnt fix it. I may have got the order of the wires mixed up but I am not in the mood to keep trouble shooting this so its at the dealer.
Pains me to take it there but I am out of ideas and this will be worth an hour of labor to not spend the rest of my weekend getting frustrated tinkering with it.

Well it turns out that my brain was fried at 2:30 last night. This morning I went out and flipped the gasket around and got the pan reinstalled and ATF topped up. Just went for a drive to the gas station for a tank load of 93 octane for $28. Can’t beat that!

So now I guess it’s time to monitor AFR’s to be sure I don’t destroy my work. I hit max boost of 8.7psi WOT on my first pull. I forgot to look at the AFR when I did that pull. D’oh.

Here’s some pictures of various parameters as the engine idles in the shop.

GMRS antenna is mounted, CB radio removed, and working on the Midland radio getting installed. Once the awning is back on the side of the roof rack the antenna will be more protected and less visible. Now I need to figure out what to do about my standard AM/FM antenna.

Also working on the layout for PackOut base and my plan for a drawer. This needs to happen much sooner than later. The PackOut box is getting setup as a standard tool box that will stay in the 4Runner all the time. But having it clipped into place will keep it from being a loose object.

why not just hook up a code reader to see what it’s throwing?

I did that. I think I have the order of the wires on the plug mixed up. I was tired of dealing with it and I hate electrical so I passed the torch to someone else so I wasnt spending my weekend dealing with it. Also it was Mother's day weekend so really didnt have the time.

Got my truck back and it was 1 hour of labor. Had the order of the wires mixed for the plug and then had to calibrate or whatever they did to the traction control to turn those lights off.
While I was there I also picked up some rear brake pads so I have everything to do all 4 corners.

Midland MX275 is mounted up; just have to do the power and antenna cables tomorrow. I also did some sound deadening work while I had the center console and some dash pieces apart.

Drove the truck some more today, including more WOT pulls. AFRs look to be mid 14 when regular driving and then hover around 11 with the petal smashed to the floor. Guess the 7th injector is doing it’s job and the transmission is shifting firmer and feels less like a slush box. Report? Awesome. Highway on-ramps and general acceleration/passing power is vastly improved. I’d like to put it on a dyno just for kicks to see how much power it’s putting to the ground. I’m not used to hearing the tires chirp in this truck.

I’m still on @tex ’s old tires. I don’t drive enough to wear out tires but maybe the blower will help with that. Haha

The old rims from his Tacoma are still on my Tacoma. Parts get whored around on TOR. lol

Today I fixed the trailer light wiring on my truck. It’s been acting funky for a while and I just never made the time to fix it until now. I also removed a bunch more of old unnecessary wiring from the camper shell that I no longer have. Removing old wiring always makes me happy.
