Got the windows tinted and put in my Husky floor mats and underseat storage box in my new work truck. I have front/rear mud guards on order too.

Added the Husky Underseat Storage, thanks @AlienXtx seeing his work truck add ons pictured, I do like that these 5gal cans fit perfectly and I don’t have to worry about tying them down in the truck bed for a quick trip to the gas station.

What is the verdict on aftermarket tie rods like AC Delco and Moog or is it best to stay with OEM for tierods? Trying to track down the front end squeak.
Also I need get a new front passenger door lock actuator since the cheap one I installed last year is now not locking unless I use the key fob. Button on the door does not lock it even though the I can see the lever move as if its locking.

IIRC, no zerks on those tie rods? I’d recommend using a grease gun needle and fill them boots up.

Right, no zerks. I dont have a needle so will need to figure something out to try this.

the auto parts stores sell them or a kit variety for like $6-10

I had some Ford Pass Bucks from when I bought my truck. So I went to the dealer last Friday to ask what I could use them for and how much was 75,000 points worth. Turns out its worth $375! Not bad.. so I ordered a console vault for it. Thing came in Saturday, its a 10 minute install. It won't fit... watched a video or two and they drop right in. Nope. Its like 1.5" too long and 1/4-1/2" too wide. So I took it up there today and showed them, part number is correct. So they are ordering me another one and we'll try again.

Same here. Just go OEM. The Moog tie rods never lasted.

I did Moog balljoints ONCE.. fucking junk! It had the holes for zerks, and zirks in the box.. but they where not tapped out for zirks. I just bought TC LCA's. LOL

Oh the fun of trying to tap 1/16" of steel with a ball joint giving you only 1/32" clearance behind the metal. Yea that can suck it.

I think I just hit them with a hammer to start them off and then forced them in wile going clockwise.

New one came in yesterday, I picked it up last night, put it in today. Easy peasy lemon squeezy.. took maybe 5 minutes, including getting tools. You can see the scratches around the lip of my center console from me fucking with the last one.

I'll say this, the console vault I have in the Taco is more secure IMO. This is really just a locking lid. Has a small section of metal to support front and rear but the sides are OEM plastic. One in the Taco is a solid box bolted to the body. Both could be defeated obviously, but IMO this one is weaker. Oh well, its a deterrent.
