What have you done to your ride lately?

I sound-deadened the front door and floors in the Taco 14 years ago or so... and I went overboard on it. I never did the rears.. until today. I tried something different, KILMAT. Got great reviews, price was right. Picked up 50 sq ft for $62. Used about 18 sq ft today on one rear door. Its got between 3-4 layers depending on which area. If you tap on the door skin it thuds. I need to do the other door but the way I have it parked at the moment its a bitch to get to. Another day.

Moved all the crap over from the 4Runner to the Ferd. Need to pick up a new set of jumper cables. Ordered the Husky floor liners and a locking hitch pin for it as well since I can't re-use the one from the 4Runner.

Going to start cleaning up the 4Runner tomorrow and getting it ready to post for sale. Also need to get the windshield replaced at some point.

I need to do this to my Tacoma but I'm just too lazy. As long as I'm not trying to keep up with Aaron on the highway, slower is better on both the MPGs and my ears.

I did it on the 4Runner. It's not hard at all. I just did one layer of butyl rubber and one layer of closed cell foam on top of that. Took no time at all.

I just find myself keeping busy on other projects. The next thing that needs to take place on the Tacoma is some new battery cables and I want to wire the winch to a breaker and mount it on the fan shroud like I saw a friend do to his truck.

Yeah, it's quick. I maybe spent an hour on the one door.

Yeah I think I spent an hour or so on each door once I figured out how to get the panels off without breaking anything. Was my first time pulling the panels on the 4Runner. There was a lot more shit connected to it than my Tacoma that had manual locks and windows.

It is not a war crime the first time.

It is worth the time to do it. Long drives are a lot easier now with the doors done.

Used Forscan to disable all chimes (door ajar, seatbelt, key in ignition, chimes on startup, etc) as well as enabling the fogs to be on with high beams, increases the lane change turn signal to 5 flashes from 3, and made the panic button on the fob require double press so it can't accidentally be bumped.

another one to disable is the horn honking when you get out of the truck with it running and key fob in your pocket.

I like having it ding with the key in the ignition. It’s kept me from leaving the keys in the ignition in a public place more than once

Check engine light came on tonight. P0430 catalytic converter code. More than likely the O2 sensors. Going back to the dealership because they warrantied it for 90 days/4000 miles. Fucking Ford.

How many miles on truck?

Typically those of sensors need changing between 60-100k (spark plugs too) on all the Fords we have. Should be good to go once they are changed out. The cats do not usually have issues unless the previous owner was some grandpa putting around not getting it hot enough to create catalyst.
Better trade it in.
Truck should be good for at least 300k, but yeah he's probably about to lol
