What have you done to your ride lately?

Yeah I keep going back and forth between selling it and keeping it. The argument "I've already got too much money in it and it drives so smooth" wins out every time lol

Is there any room on the stock frame to install braces the size of say a steering box mount with all the its still on there? If so that would be the way to go. Better yet what do all the desert prerunner guys do those things see ridiculous abuse

Sigh, I'll guess I'll have to search through all the broness and find out what they do.

Tied to a cab cage tied to a bed cage. :)

My wallet just started crying lol

lol

You might not be surprised to see some of the Desert Rat trucks that I see where you can tell that they first put the engine cage in... then the cab cage... then the bed cage. The engine cage is mostly symmetrical, the cab cage a bit less and the bed cage looks like a Dali painting! lol

Running hard does major damage! :) :o I would really love to have a purpose built prerunner but you are talking a minimum of about $100k - only to go beat the crap out of it! lol

But what's worth having the money for if it doesn't put a huge smile on your face? :)

I'd look into plating the frame, its somewhat stout right now roughly .12 wall boxed in just have to figure out how to deal with the crumple zones

Crumple zones? Isn't that what the other guy is for?

Needed to bleed the brakes on the taco after the ARB install last weekend. My co-worker to pump the brakes couldn't make it. So I improvised. Opened all the bleeders, opened the brake reservoir and the wrapped a rag around a blow gun on my compressor. Slowly inserted the blowgun and let the air blow out. It bled down all the air trapped in the lines. I then tightened all the bleeders and presto. One man brake bleed on all 4 wheels. Feels very tight.

Note that I ensured that the reservoir was always full.

Its still a gravity bleed... just faster.

Exactly. Just don't try and seal
it off and pressurize to 90 psi.

And iiRC with the ABS all you need to do is step on the brakes and not have to pump them - may only be the rears. Last time I bled, I did gravity. :)
