What have you done to your ride lately?

That reminds me... I need to get a spare belt. I had one but used it as a replacement and didn't put another back under the seat for emergencies. Did you find a good place that sold the belt for cheap?

Sean, just from experience, get an OEM belt from Toyota. It might cost a bit more, but the quality is FAR superior. I bought a replacement belt and put it in around ~100k miles (IIRC). Its supposed to be a good belt from a reputable name but it was half the thickness of the OEM belt. I swapped it out, it made a shit ton of noise bc it would shrink it overnight. After awhile of squealing noise I put the OEM belt back on and put that belt in the seat storage. My OEM belt still looks great at 170k+ miles.

So you're saying there's a chance!
Did some work on my other ride last night. I had some stems machined for mounting the turn signals on my bike in tighter to the fender than the factory 2". I was redoing the wiring to check everything before I crimped/taped it as done. The left signal would not light up no matter what I did to it. After checking the wires, switching inputs, and pulling it back off to double check my soldering I took the lens cover off to reveal the light bulb was missing. Only then did I remember that bulb was burned out and I had bought a new pack to replace it when I put it back on the bike.

Dumbass.

Yeah, I had a OEM belt as well. Just wondered if there was a site to get it the cheapest. I'll just check out the Toyota of Dallas's OE parts site. That's crazy that your belt is still going strong after that many miles.

Glad I read that. 160k on my original belt. Reminded me that I want to replace it and the idler pulleys soon. Probably get settled in SC before I have a chance to do it though

Yeah; '97 Fat Boy with D & D Fat Cat exhaust. She has some age but she still gets around real nice.

I am still using the belt I bought my truck with over 130k miles ago. I bought a replacement belt last year but the original still looks okay.

Cylinder 3 misfire code came back this morning. Going to change spark plugs today, then swap coil 1 and 3 to see if the misfire code moves cylinders.

Well I guess it couldn't be that easy right?

You can spot the culprit.

Swapped cyl 3 and cyl 1 coil to see if I got a new code. Nothing yet after a cruise around town. Cold start tomorrow is where it will probably show up if I need to keep digging at a misfire code.

In a sing song voice... "One of these three bags is not like the others"

Got my new Morels installed and all wired up last night. Sounds pretty awesome... I must say. WOW. I was tuning it at around 9:15 last night and the wife came out to remind me of the time and that the neighbors could hear it. :) My bad. I do need to install an L-Pad on the rear speakers, they are a bit too loud. They sound great, but ruin the soundstage up front. I need them down about 3-6db.
