What have you done to your ride lately?

Yeah I can drag around my trail rig without a load leveling hitch without much sagging. Now as for flex... another story. It does ok, but its no 13 pack Deaver set.

A bit of squat

As for install, its pretty easy as Jason said. Just find the leaf it matches and slide it underneath (or over) it. But if you just want some lift and not limit flex, add a 1/2" piece of plate between the axle and the leaf pack.

It's not the turbo as I had hoped. Carbed and ifs. Pro crap lift, bling wheels and it looks like a set of Corbeaus.

Nice. Wish I had a 100,000 sq ft barn. :)

Removed the driveshaft, lowered gas tank, removed driver's side hardline-to-brake-cylinder line, contemplating removing axles and third member.

I'm doing a pretty detailed 'once over' in anticipation of being able to go for a week-long wheeling trip :fingersCrossed:.

Anyway I am making more work than I needed but I'm trying to weed out the weak links.

Driveshaft removed to install my very fresh one with recessed grease nipple on draveshaft-to-third member so as not to whack that off on the first outing.

Lowered gas tank to install wedges to shift the tank over to the passenger side by about a 1/4" so to minimize military wrap rub. Might make a stainless steel rub plate (very thin from scrap stock) to either minimize the possibility of contact with the tank.

Driver's side rear hardline rubbed on axle housing and don't want a trail surprise.

... and thinking I should remove the third to reseal the air seals, the third itself, axle seals, and maybe Stainless air lines... and finally put my remote diff breather line.

Thank God cars don't eat parts up as quickly. :)

So you're saying there's a chance!
Drove out to my folk's place for the weekend and noticed a rattle at every bump. Climbed under the front end to find this.

I was lucky enough to have an old man with what I think is the largest "random nut and bolt" box ever and found the nut I needed.

Sure did.

This time it was completely gone. There is no lock washer from the factory... I see one in my future though.

It isn't drilled for one... I'm just going to deal with it for the time being. I've been wanting a set of quick disconnects anyway.

Cab swap?

Only if my body working skills are are not good enough. It actually doesn't look too bad so far. I just have to get the dimple out of the roof then it looks like the frame for the windshield may be pretty close to lining up.

Meanwhile I got the boogerwelded sliders chopped off in preparation for some new ones. I also stripped the rest of the interior and started a frame to relocate my amp to the rear of the cage.

My perpetual feelings. Our rear brakes suck!!! Does anyone have any good luck with the auto-adjusters? My brakes are worn down half way and it looks like, if anything, the backs backed off! WTF?

If you're not going to need that passenger side extra cab window. I may know someone who could use it!

Have you already replaced the rears drums yet? And yes I agree, they are terrible.
