Or have your hot looking friend go in there - the bigger the tits the better. Funny thing is that I find more and more dykes working at parts stores. In that case, send in your younger brother dressed like a dyke. lol

You would be surprised the numbers his younger brother can get. rofl But that is a story for around a campfire with a beer.

Sawed out a part in the middle of the 7's motor. Re-Assemble time. Then on to the Taco. Would really like to do a quick wheeling trip tomorrow (1 day shoot and scoot to an old mining district). The only way I could do it is to change the backing plate using the 4x4wire slam the axle method for removing the rear wheel bearing. Has anyone done that?

Spending the day putting this puppy back together. THANK GOD that wasn't a flat rate job that I had to make a living on. I will say though, I know I could easily knock it out in half the time next time. Next time is a very big assumption that there will be a next time! lol But really, like brain surgery, anyone could do it provided that you break it down to small enough steps. I did that. :) A couple more parts (hose, clips, bolts, etc) and It will be a driver again. I do miss driving Big Black. ;)

The reason you see that belt that way is because I am sure this guy didn't have the $90 BMW tool that I picked up to stretch that belt back on to the pulley; There is no tensioner.

Again, much braver than I. Kudos!

I bet the guy that decided the belt did not need a tensioner was trying to one-up the asshole who designed the leak at the back of the motor.

lol I was thinking if I did this job flat rate I would have lost my ass. At a dealer they would have charged $10-12k and they would still make money. ...or if I did it for a Rolls dealer, I could have retired! lol

Time to put your resume in at the Rolls dealer. I'm sure there are a few in the area.

Got my carrier bearing, U joints and driveshaft yoke & bearing replaced today. Spent way more than I was planning too but it should be good to go now. U-joints are Spicer and the yoke has a greasable bearing in it now!

Almost done with this chore. Today I thought I lost a wiring harness under the intake plenum - that plenum always reminds me of GMC -71 blower. :). Anyway, I found it. You could loose a bass drum in that engine!

Now I am down to two brackets and the motor should be done. Then it's time to zip up all the little bits. Fingers crossed. :)

Oh yeah. All bolts accounted for. That's a first for a project this large!
